The ground slipped beneath our feet, and we fell, as if the forest was swallowing us. It was unexpected and shocking. We landed in a different place and the surrounding scenery was different from the forest we were walking in but not unfamiliar.
We were suddenly back at the Vampiria Academy, and we were not alone.
"Caleb, what do you think just happened to us?"
"We were transported to the academy by magic. I suppose this is the obstacle Professor Lucille talked about, but I suppose using necromancy is going overboard."
I watched the skeletons with weapons in their hands crawling around in the academy's hall, which once bustled with teachers and students. As for now, there was no one but the dead and us.
"They want us to fight these bones? These many of them?"
