Chapter 5 Jake checked his tie in the reflection of the highly polished elevator’s button panel and straightened it. He lucked out. No one was riding the elevator with him. He punched the button for the fourteenth floor, aware that security had already notified Kidder LaRose Samson of his pending arrival. The low ding announced the lift would open soon and as it did, he stepped out, casually scanning both his left and right to see which way to go.
