3rd PERSON POV
‘Mommy look’ A young girl with short white hair came running into the living room wearing a lovely pale purple dress, her pale shimmering skin sparkling lighting in the sunlight of the room, spilling in from the large open window of the cabin they were living in.
The little girl twirled around and laughed as her dress lifted up ‘Grandma gave me a new dress for my birthday!’
‘I see that bunny’ Her mother smiled sweetly at her daughter ‘Aren’t you lucky, did you thank Grandma?’
The little girl nodded her head seriously ‘I did mommy, I swear’
‘That’s my good girl’ Her mother smiled ‘Did you do any of your lessons with grandma or did you just play because it’s your birthday?’
The little girl looked down at her feet but didn’t answer.
‘Well that answers that question’ Her mother sighed ‘You need to focus on your studies bunny, has grandmother gone back to the palace?'
'Yes, she used her magic portal' The little girl said, a little sadly now 'I miss grandma, when can we go home mommy'
'Soon bunny, I promise' She answered and held up a box.
‘But it’s been months mommy’
‘I know bunny, but it shouldn’t be much longer now’ Her mother said softly and lifted up a small wrapped gift from a large pile of presents 'Would you like mommy’s present too’
‘Yay’ The little girl clapped ‘More presents’
‘Only this one bunny’ Her mum said firmly but with a broad smile ‘You can have the rest when daddy gets back’
‘Why can’t daddy be home now?’
‘Alpha Christian and Uncle Brice need daddy to help today’
‘To fight the bad man?’
‘That’s right bunny’
‘Daddy’s brave isn’t he mommy’ The little girl said as she climbed onto her mother’s lap, being careful not to put weight on her mother's stomach where a small bump resided.
‘He sure is’ Her mother brushed her daughter’s hair behind her ear
‘I’m going to be brave like him when I’m big’
‘I know you will bunny’ Her mother kissed her cheek and placed the box in front of her daughter ‘Now open your present’
The little girl eagerly lifted the lid of the box and squealed in delight. She gently lifted up a small white rabbit teddy from the box and hugged it tightly.
‘Thank you, mommy. I love him,’
‘I’m so pleased’ Her mother smiled, her face lighting up with joy at her daughter’s happiness ‘What shall we call him?’
‘Bunny’ The girl announced as she hugged the rabbit for dear life ‘Like you call me mommy because he’s my baby like I’m your baby’
‘I see’ Her mother smirked ‘What a… lovely name for your rabbit’
The little girl turned and touched her mother’s stomach.
‘Will you call my baby brother bunny too mommy?’
‘No’ Her mother shook her head ‘You’re my only little bunny. We’ll call him something else’
‘I want to choose mommy!’ The girl pleaded with big innocent eyes.
‘We’ll see’ Her mother laughed ‘Why don’t you go put on your shoes and we’ll’
A loud explosion sounded, and her mother froze mid-sentence, her eyes began to glow and her face went from calm and happy to panic.
‘Katomi go to the hide now!’ Her mother ordered 'Like we practiced!'
She placed Katomi on her feet and she ran to the hidden room in the wall. It was soundproofed and magically sealed, you could only open in from the inside.
‘DO NOT COME OUT UNTIL I SAY SO KATOMI!’ Her mother ordered, Katomi cried and nodded, and her mother slammed the door shut, she waved her hand and the door vanished.
She gently touched her stomach, tears fell down her face as she closed her eyes for a second, she took a deep breath before going over to the wall and grabbing two long swords off the wall.
‘Where is she Kelari’ A strong male voice said as he walked into the large living room.
‘You’ll never have her, Raemair!’ Kelari screamed at the man who simply smirked.
Raemair was a thin man but still very muscular, he’s long black hair was pulled back into a high ponytail and held in place by a golden round clip, he wore black pants and a loose white shirt with golden armor over top, he’s skin shimmered like all Fae and his silver eyes held a look of pure hatred as he looked down at Kalari.
She was smaller than him, only coming up to his shoulder, she had a thin body with a small chest, her loose white hair fell behind her, reaching her hips, she was wearing a red slip dress with no shoes.
Kelari held up the swords that shone brightly in the sun ‘I’ve linked the pack, you won’t leave here alive’
‘You’re the one who’s going to die today Kelari’ Raemair said, as, a matter of factly ‘You think you can take my mate from me and there won’t be consequences’
‘SHE ISN’T YOUR MATE!’
‘YES, SHE IS!’ He shouted back ‘You know what we are to each other, I lost her once, I will not loose her again!’
Kelari attacked, she brought the swords down again and again, only to have Raemair block every blow with his own sword he’d made appear out of thin air.
Katomi listened by the door of her hide in terror, crying and calling out to her mother, but knowing better then to open the door
‘You can’t beat me Kalari!’ Raemair laughed as he blocked another attack. He kicked out his foot, landing it directly at her stomach, Kelari screamed out in pain and fell onto her back, holding her stomach, trying to protect her unborn son
Raemair grabbed Kelari by the hair and pulled her up, but Kelari threw up one of the swords, cutting Raemair across the face. He stumbled back and cried out.
‘You b*tch!’ He shouted, holding his face that was dripping with blood, he raised his other hand and fire erupted, Kelari’s eyes widened in fear.
‘Tell me where she is!
‘GO TO HELL!’
‘COME OUT LITTLE ONE!’ Raemair called out ‘OR I WILL BURN MOMMY ALIVE!’
‘NO KATOMI’ Kelari cried out ‘DON’T MOVE!’
‘Mommy’ Katomi cried and reached for the door, but she hesitated, unsure of what to do.
‘THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE GIRL!
When she didn’t come out, Raemair screamed angrily and reached out his hand, the fire left his hand covered her mother’s body, Kelari screamed in agony.
‘MOMMY!’ Katomi shoved open the door and fell out, dropping her bunny on the ground ‘STOP!
Raemair put out the fire and smiled at the little girl, kneeling down to her level and touching her face ‘Aren’t you pretty’
‘KAT NO!’ Kelari cried
‘Don’t hurt mommy anymore’ Katomi cried.
‘Mommy is a bad girl’ Raemair said as he stood up ‘She tried to take you away from me’
‘Bunny run!’ Kalari pleaded. Her skin was badly burnt and blistering. She wasn’t going to survive.
‘Mommy, I’m scared’
‘No need to be scared little one’ Raemair smiled, he looked back at Kelari, his eyes turning cold ‘I’m your mate, you will remember me when you come of age, but mommy has been a very bad girl, I’m afraid mommy has to die’
‘NO!’ Katomi cried and rushed over to her mother. She hugged her tightly ‘Don’t hurt mommy’
Raemair grabbed Katomi by the back of her dress and threw her against the wall.
‘KAT!’
‘It didn’t have to be like this Kelari’ Raemair glared down at her as he pressed his boot in top of Kalari’s skull and pushing down hard as she screamed ‘You shouldn’t have tried to keep her from me’
He raised his hand again and fire sprang up all over the room ‘I gave you the chance to give her to me willingly’ He said before he crushed open her skull, he lifted his foot and fire shot up over Kelari’s body again. She began to scream in agony once more.
‘NO!’ Katomi screamed, her eyes shone white, Raemair only had a second to register before a wave of power exploded from her body, the cabin exploded around them, the walls and Raemair were thrown outwards, and the fire was extinguished.
Raemair picked himself off the ground, bleeding and leaning his weight on his left leg as the right was broken. He could see the pack approaching. There was no time to grab Katomi, so he turned and ran.
‘Mommy!’ Katomi cried against her mother, her hands started to glow, she’d discovered she could heal things a few days ago and her mother had been teaching her how to use it, but it was too late, her mother was dead ‘Mommy, no, wake up mommy, don’t leave me alone, don’t leave me mommy, wake up’
‘KATOMI!’ William called out, his face was white and he was naked from shifting out of his Lycan form ‘KELLY!
William ran over to his wife and daughter, who was crying hard and trying to shake her mother awake.
‘Daddy help mommy’ Katomi begged, her round little face covered in ash and tears ‘I tried to help her’
William stared at his family, not saying anything as he fell to his knees, tears fell down his face as he pulled his dead wife into his arms ‘Daddy!’
‘Kat, come with me baby’ Another man said as he looked down at the scene in horror.
‘No!’ She shouted ‘I don’t want to leave mommy uncle Brice!’
‘Kat, come now’
‘Mommy, don’t die, don’t leave me alone’ The little girl wept as her uncle tried to pick her up ‘No uncle Brice, I don’t want to go, I want to stay with mommy’
Her uncle ignored her and lifted her from the ground, holding her close as he walked her away.
‘DADDY!’
