I waited for him to ask his question "What would that be ?"
Alexander folded his arms across his chest and asked "Do you have a boyfriend ?"
That was it? That was the question he wanted to ask?Is he for real?
" You think I'll agree to marry you if I have a boyfriend ?" I asked and he shrugged "We never can tell. There are lots of desperate women who will do anything for money.
"And you think I'm one of them ?" I asked surprised. What did he take me for?
"We never can tell. Anything is possible "
I fumed "You think I'm like you? You have a girlfriend and you want to get married to someone else. Like how do you want Jennifer to feel? This is so unfair and outrageous. If she knew about this I'm sure she is going to kill you "
He didn't move an inch " She is aware of who you are to me by the way "
" Huh?"
He nodded " She knew what I planned on doing. She is very aware that I'm going to get married to you "
" What? And she didn't feel bad about it? Is there something you two are hiding? Please don't bring me into your mess " I said pleadingly
Alexander rolled his eyes " As long as you obey my rules and regulations, you have nothing to worry about "
I nodded " Ok fine. Can I leave now? I need to make a stop at Barbara's place "
"Who is that ?"
I'm sure he doesn't know her . Funny how Barbara always uses his name to lie. If only he knew how she crushed on him.
"She is my boss? I need to drop my resignation letter " I inform him
" Oh okay. You may leave if you wish to " he said like he didn't want me to leave .
I know I might hear wrong. I better not get my hopes up. He already has a girlfriend. Whatever strange feeling I'm beginning to have for him needs to end today. He is taken. I'm just an object he is going to use and dump. I should always remember that.
" Ok," I said " Goodbye "
" Expect my call," he said instead and I nodded before making my way to the door.
I was hoping he would stop me but he didn't. I kind of felt bad. At first, I thought he requested I get married to him cos he finds me attractive but then it was never about my looks. He only wanted to shut his father up.
For someone who is dating Jennifer, I'm no match for her. She is one of the most gorgeous celebrities ever. She is always on the front cover of every magazine. That is one of my dreams. I want to be known. I need to work hard so I can achieve that.

I arrived at Barbara's apartment. When I got there I found her yelling at her house help. She looks so angry. I'm sure she couldn't get things done since I wasn't there to help. I knew she depended on me more cos I was the one who gave her advice on what and what not to do but she always made it feel like my advice was less. At the end of the day ,she always does things based on how I advised her.
A smirk came across my face but I hid it ,I didn't want to anger her anymore. I walked into her room and she saw me. Barbara looks pissed.
" Where the hell have you been!" She snapped at me. Barbara walked to where I was standing looking angry "What is this nonsense you are pulling Lisa ?!"
" You know how important you are to me and you decided to not come today? You made me look stupid today. I tried calling your cell phone but you aren't picking up either "
" I've had enough of your nonsense. Leave and don't ever come back " She said raising her voice at me.
This was one of her tricks. She would make me believe that she fired me so I could beg her to take me back. What Barbara didn't know was, I was done working with her. Instead of begging her, I scoffed instead.
" I was done working with you anyway. I never said I came here to work. I came here to let you know that my job here is over " I said to her feeling so proud of myself.
I can see the shock in her eyes. Her expression says it all. She didn't see that coming "Are you kidding me ?"
I nodded " I'm done working with you Barbara. Working with you is like working in hell. I can't take it anymore so don't ever call my number again "
Barbara was stunned "This can't be true. You can't just leave !"
I laughed " I thought you just sacked me too"
"It's a lie. I only said that to scare you " she admitted and I knew all along that she always said those harsh words to scare me and stupid me would always fall into her trap.
"This is different. I'm done working for you. I only worked for you cos I needed to have ideas on modeling and thanks to you I'm able to grab one or two things " I said feeling proud of myself
She was speechless "What?! Are you kidding me !"
I shook my head "This is my truth to you so please don't ever call me. Hopefully, the next time we meet might be on stage while we compete against each other. I can't wait to be honest "
She was getting angry "You think you can be a model without any experience? "
"Have you forgotten that I'm the one that gives you most of your pose? I was also able to get deals for you so what are you saying ?" I said as a matter of fact .
She screamed and tried to pounce on me. But I was able to stop her with my hands "Don't ever raise your hands on me. The next time you do something like this, I won't hesitate to hit you twice as hard "
She yanked her hand off my hold " I promise you, you'll regret this. You'll regret ever doing this to me. Do you think you'll be great? I'll make sure I destroy you even before you become known "
I chuckled " I have my way already. All you have to do is sit and watch how I take the crown and show you how it's done. You'll be surprised" I winked at her
" I hate you !" She screamed
" The feeling is mutual " I blew a kiss at her and made my way to the door. All I could hear as I made my way out of the room was her scream.
I felt satisfied. I've waited long enough for this. I knew she wouldn't take it well but it was worth it.

I didn't expect to meet anyone in my apartment but to my surprise, someone had already gotten into my apartment. I was confused. No one had my key not even Ethan.
This could be some robbery but I wasn't sure. I need to confirm before I drop a message to the police. I took a bat used for playing cricket. I always keep it outside just in case of anything like this. The door was already open so I pushed it inside gently and walked inside the room with the bat over my head.
I peeped through the living room and found a figure on the couch. The robber has the nerve to even lay down on my couch! How dare he!
" Who are you ?!" I asked loudly enough for the intruder to hear.
He woke up instantly and I knew that was my queue
" Wait! It's me, Lisa !" The person said and the bat hit him across the face " Ouch !" He groaned

" Collins ?" I asked
" f**k! You hit my nose "
I rolled my eyes " What the hell are you doing in my apartment uninvited? "
" I needed a place to stay. You are the only person that came to mind " He answered and I find myself getting pissed.
I gritted my teeth hard " I swear to God I'll hit you one more time with this bat if you don't get out of my house right this minute!"
He took a step back cos he knew so well I would do that. Why didn't I change the key lock for crying out loud!I feel so stupid right now.
" I didn't come here to fight. Please listen to me " he tried saying and I glared hard at him " Don't even dare say a word"
I stepped forward "Leave my house this minute"
" Please just hear me out. I'm sorry for all that I have done to you in the past. I need your help, Lisa. Allyson took all my savings. She left me with nothing"
