My head felt like shards of glass had been twisted repeatedly into my brain, groaning in pain, I held my head as I tried to lift myself from my bed. The room seemed to spin right before my eyes, agonizing pain hitting me like a truck with every step. It was already nightfall, I could see that at least, closing the curtains carefully, even the sound of the windows creaking to close made me irritated. I checked the time, 12:45 am, how the hell was it so late? I asked myself, rubbing my forehead in an attempt to ease the throbbing headache.
