A week. It took us a full week to gather the ingredients Nathaniel needed. The more we went down the list, the rarer the ingredients became. We all set out, our little clan, to gather the ingredients needed. Even with the five of us, it took that long.
We, me and Annabella, were now on our way to gather the last thing on the list. Nathaniel had claimed it was the most important and that it was sitting in a land far, far away. Ha, maybe if you didn't have a dragon.

We landed on the outskirts of a small northern village. It had taken us two days to get here after we gathered the ingredients. Nathaniel said he needed a weapon of some sort. One that we would only get at this village. The man selling the weapons in the marketplace was named Hague and he would know what to give us when we mention Nathaniel's name. Since Nathaniel had known what was going to happen, he had put in an order a while ago.
The air was thin and cold as we walked through the narrow streets. We were wrapped in thick furs that didn't keep the cold out. People stared at us as we passed and we paid no attention to them. We just wanted the weapon
The market place was in the center of town. That was also where most of the people were. They were dressed in furs and were walking around with baskets on their arms. It was noisy and crowded but not too hard to push through. It didn't take long for us to find the booth we were looking for.
"Hague?" I asked as I looked at the different weapons on display.
"That's me," the bald man smiled though there was suspicion in his eyes, "mind if I ask who you are?"
"Not at all," Annabella stepped forward with a forced smile, "my name is Annabella. This is Alaina. We are here on behalf of Nathaniel Jenkins."
"Ah," he said, "you have the p*****t?"
"Of course," I said as I placed the large brown sack on his table. His eyes went wide and a smile grew on his face.
"Here you are," he said as he pulled out a long brown box, "now, don't open it. It is for Nathaniel."
"We wouldn't dare," Annabella said as she picked it up, "he explained to us the danger. Thank you."
"Good day," I nodded and I could hardly keep the skip out of my step. We were done. This was it.
We were going to get Felix back.
"Be careful," Annabella warned as we climbed onto Jordan.
"What?" I asked as we were up in the air and flying smoothly.
"I have a terrible feeling about this," Annabella said as she tentatively wrapped an arm around my waist, "just keep your eyes open."
"Always do," I told her and narrowed my eyes at the sky in front of me. There's nothing more unsettling than a witch telling you that they have a bad feeling. I swear Annabella had a sixth sense.
She said something bad was going to happen then it was. If she told me to be careful, well, I'm going to be careful.
It wasn't until I smelt the smoke that I realized it wasn't a fight that was going to happen up here. I let out a sigh as Jordan's wings dipped slightly and we went through the thin clouds.
That's when everything went wrong.
