Master Tenshi's training

The man stayed quiet for some time as he is waiting for the fish to be cooked. The air turns awkward since the master didn’t say anything yet. Iki nudged Max with his elbow as if signaling him to say something.

However, it will be awkward for him to say anything. After all, he doesn’t have any idea as to who this master is in front of him. Because of that, they can only stand patiently while waiting for the master to say something.

The fish seemed to be cooked as the master picked it up not long after and took a bite out of the fish skewer. Once again, the group can only wait until he finished eating.

After the man finished the fish, he seemed to realize that the group behind him is still in an awkward position, so he decided to approach them. The moment the man turns his body, everyone is surprised as they have recognized this person.

Max also knows this master as he was once active when Max is still fanboying the heroes world. The sign of aging on his face doesn’t make him look ugly, but instead, it enhances his charm. He looked clean, old, yet energetic with white hair and a short white mustache on his face. His eye is still showing a burning spirit that isn’t disturbed by the passage of time.

“M-m-master Tenshi?!”

Iki’s yell out of surprise becomes the representative of the group's feelings right now. No wonder that Muto is so reverent when speaking to Master Tenshi as his name alone has become a legend. One of the oldest heroes, and not to mention that his rank is of the highest one, the S-rank.

He had retired once but returned once again when the world lost the rainbow brigade. Although he wasn’t seen actively pursuing villains, the people are already grateful that he decided to come back to help out. After all, the significance of having another S-rank hero is tremendous for the association.

“Yes, that’s me. Alright. I’ve heard from the association, and I know their purpose in sending you guys here. However, I need to tell you one thing. If you aren’t determined to get strong and planning to give up in the middle of the training, I suggest that you leave now. Is anyone want to leave?”

Max and the group heard what Master Tenshi said, but they aren’t planning to give up before even the training started. Also, as Muto noted, that this is a golden opportunity for them to learn and grow. After all, it wasn’t an everyday occurrence that you could meet and learn from an S-rank hero.

Master Tenshi looked at the group and can see their eagerness and the determination in their eyes. He greatly appreciates the power of youth, but he isn't planning to go easy on them because of that. After all, how much they could learn from him will determine whether it is enough to make them survive on the battlefield longer or not.

“Okay, since all of you choose to stay, please show me the proof in training. You can put your belongings there, outside my cabin. After that, you can follow me.”

The group did exactly as they told, and soon, Master Tenshi brought them away from the cabin. Arriving at a creek, Master Tenshi sat down at a rock beside the water and signaled for the rest of them to do the same.

Taking out a paper from his pocket, Master Tenshi then read at it while looking at the group. It seemed that he is now in the process of recognizing the people that he is going to teach while also examining themselves in person by his gaze.

“I can see why the association send you guys here. After all, your stats are sufficient to reach the C-rank. However, each and every one of you has an apparent strength and weakness that you need to overcome. I won’t re-assess your ability since the association has done so. What I will be doing here now is to fix your bad habits, and once you’re finished the training, I hope that you will be ready to go out there and fight.”

Hearing that, the group feels elated. After all, they will have their training directly supervised by Master Tenshi, an S-rank hero.

“Alright, what should we start this with? Ah, I know just the right one.”

Master Tenshi then takes out a few packs of balloons that need to be filled with air. He gives each one of the group members one bag of balloons, which makes them confused.

“So, here’s your first training, or you can consider it as a test. You need to blow the balloon, not using your mouth but using your power.”

The people present is confused as to what Master Tenshi means with his word just now.

“Alright, since it seemed that you don't get it, I will show it to you.”

Master Tenshi then takes one inflated balloon and puts it above his palm. What happened next immediately makes the people present surprised. A surge of water comes out from the creek beside him, and it immediately gets inside the balloon. In only a few seconds, the balloon is fully filled with water. The balloon seemed to be about to burst at any moment, but strangely enough, it didn’t blow up.

“Well, isn’t that something easy?”

Max is naturally the one to say that. After all, the air is something that is usually filled a balloon. He tried to do what Master Tenshi has done just now, but something weird happened. The balloon he put above his palm is blown away. It is because nothing is holding the balloon to sit still above his palm.

If Max is opening the balloon opening and holding it still, filling it up with air is only a matter of time. However, since nothing is holding it, naturally, the balloon is blown away. It seemed there’s a special trick to blow a balloon with one hand.

Everyone watching also expected Max to fill the balloon easily; however, they also realized something is strange the moment the inflated balloon on top of Max’s hand was blown away.
