Max vs Giovanni III

The moment Max summoned his wind attack, Kalina realize that he is different.

“Is his sensitivity just breakthrough to S-rank?”

Kalina is dumbfounded seeing the spectacle that is happening in the arena. She knows that Max have potential, but even she didn’t rate him too high. Maybe in three to five years, Max could increase his sensitivity to S-rank if he is lucky. But not this fast. This development is something that even Kalina didn’t expect.

With the wind condensed into a ball on his hand, Max moves forward towards Giovanni. He is careful since he knows very well that Giovanni is capable of dodging his attack easily. To make sure that his attack hit, he will need to either stop Giovanni or catch up to him.

Remembering Giovanni’s S-rank speed, it is nearly impossible for Max to approach him with his speed even if he currently knows that his speed has increased.

“Since I couldn’t catch up, then there is only one option left. I need to make sure that Giovanni can’t move anymore.”

As he entered enlightenment earlier, he realizes a lot of new ideas popping up inside his mind. One of them is a move that will enable him to stop Giovanni movement.

As the concentrated wind ball is gathered on Max’s right hand, he uses his free left hand and outstretches it towards Giovanni. Using his left hand, Max ordered the wind to surrounded Giovanni. The purpose of Max’s move right now is to limit Giovanni’s movement.

There is a familiar move of water elements that are commonly called as water prison. Surrounding a target using water and limiting their movement inside the sphere only. It is impossible for fire elements due to its lethality, and nobody tried to use wind elements since it is easily breached.

However, Max’s move right now is the result of his enlightenment earlier and different from usual. The amount of wind that is gathering to surround Giovanni is enormous, almost like a tornado. Next, it gathered around Giovanni and created a prison made out of wind around him. If Giovanni tried to move around, the wind would mercilessly cut his body due to their sharp rotating movement.

Looking at his surrounding, Giovanni couldn’t make any rash move. To be honest, he could still escape before Max’s wind prison trapped him, but he is curious about Max’s next move. Putting him in this dire predicament.

Giovanni’s body then flashed, heading towards one direction, trying to flee. Still, as soon as his body touched the wall created by raging wind, his body was hurt and repelled back, sending him to his original position.

Looking at that, Giovanni is now in disbelieve. No matter how fast Giovanni is, his other stats are still on D-rank. Max that just got his enlightenment, could possibly stronger than him right now. It is proven by the clash just now. Giovanni couldn’t forcibly break through the wind wall despite his D-rank strength.

Max saw what just happened, and his mouth curled upwards as he smiled. His strategy is a big success. What’s left now is to try the power of the concentrated wind ball on his hand.

Giovanni is also aware of what’s going to happen next. This time, he erected a shield made of light in front of him. Nobody is surprised at Giovanni’s move that enabled him to create a shield. It just that he doesn’t have a need to create a shield all this time in the competition.

When Max is going to step forward and approached Giovanni, a loud commotion can be heard.

*Bam*

A loud explosion can be heard from above as the barrier that is surrounding the arena wavered. The sky even turned dark as if a gigantic creature swallows the sun. Max and Giovanni naturally directed their gaze upwards along with the audience and Elrisa.

Above the darkened sky, someone is standing. The figure then jumped down towards the arena through a hole in the barrier that is made in the earlier explosion.

“Mwahahaha! How can you hold the newcomer competition without inviting this king? Did you didn’t put this king in your eyes? Do you want to be punished to death by decapitation?”

The figure that jumped down and now standing in the middle of the stage is a young man. He is probably in his teenage years and has similar age to Max and Giovanni. He looked like an actor in a famous movie with undercut blonde hair and a black suit. The man then laughed once more as he examined his surrounding.

“Are you guys amazed by the handsomeness of this king? Why don’t you guys kneel and show your respect for this majesty?”

Everyone is dumbfounded at the spectacle that is happening in front of them. Only Elrisa that is acting as the MC of the event runs towards the arena as fast as she can.

The reason for that is because she could sense a foreboding that something terrible is going to happen. Firstly, the person that is intruding into the arena is too calm. As if the person isn’t afraid of anything.

Secondly, not many people here realize that the barrier surrounding the arena is erected by the United Heroes association. Although it was just for the hot newcomer competition, the barrier could easily block an attack from a B-rank hero. Not only to protect the audience from getting hit by the competitors attack, but it could also protect the competitors from outside interference.

Just now, the young man managed to come into the arena after creating a hole in the barrier. It shows that his power is above B-rank and, at least, A-rank.

Thirdly and the most crucial point is the ring on the young man’s finger. The ring has a burning skull engraved on it. Anyone who is working on the hero fields knows that whenever they saw that symbol, they will be facing their arch enemy, the evil mastermind.
