Meeting Yuna again

Days passed by so fast as Yuna didn’t contact Max and he is busy training his new skill. Max looked at the fire butterfly imprint that has become even fainter as the day passed by. He predicted that in a week or so, the fire imprint will be gone completely.

“I guess she won’t keep her promise or she hasn’t found any lead either.”

Max's progress in his training isn’t that bad either. He managed to maintain the wind bullet in front of him for a couple of seconds although he hasn’t managed to launch it forward just yet. Most of the time, the bullet goes out of control or it dissipates because not enough control is directed towards it.

“*huff* I think my training for today is enough.”

Max laid down on the ground with his hand outstretched towards the stars. He never felt so alive before. Although what happened right now is just normal training and it was for the sake of revenge, for one time in his life, he has a purpose ever since he lost his dream.

Max was about to finish his training before he heard something rustling from the distance.  He looked towards that direction and can feel that something is moving towards him. He couldn’t do any detection using his superpower as he isn’t trained in it yet. One of the most famous figures in detection type ability is actually an Evil Mastermind member called 'batman'. He uses echolocation just like a bat and his superpower is something related to sound as he could also unleash a voice bomb. His detection ability however is the best as it enabled him to become one of the villains that never been caught by the United Heroes.

Not long after, the source of the disturbance that is coming towards Max is revealed. It was Yuna. Usually, she looked elegant, neat, and tidy. Right now, she is in a mess as her clothes are full of torn and many bruises can be spotted on her body.

“Yuna, what happened?”

“R-r-run…”

Yuna speaks weakly before she fainted in front of Max. Realizing that something is wrong as there’s still a figure in the distance that seemed to be chasing after Yuna, Max quickly picked up her body and runs away from the scene.

“*ugh* How can she be this heavy? Just what kind of food did she eat?”

If she was awake, she must have sent a barrage of punch towards Max. thankfully Yuna lost her consciousness or she will refute him with all her strength as no girls will feel pleased by what Max just said.

“Maybe I could try to use the wind to lift her and make her feel lighter.”

Max have practiced this before by using the wind to pick up his eraser, move on to a pencil, and finally, he could do it with a book. Almost like telekinesis but it was done through the wind, right now he is trying it with bigger objects, which is Yuna’s body.

A gentle breeze is formed below Yuna’s body and as it happened, Max can feel that her body becoming lighter than before and it will be easier for him to carry her with him.

“Okay, I guess I should bring her to hide in the orphanage.”

Moving on a familiar secret path that he used to take to get back to the orphanage, his speed will be faster than whoever his pursuer is. He doesn’t even have a bit of interest in stopping and looking at the pursuer. For this person to force Yuna to be in this kind of condition, this person must be someone that Max couldn’t handle. He doesn’t want to court death now that he knows that he has a goal in mind.

Not long after, at the place where Yuna passed out and being carried by Max, two people arrived there. If Max is at that place, he will realize that it wasn’t Lindt or Vanya as they have a physique that is discernible from the masses.

“It seemed that the imprint that we left on her disappeared over here.”

“As expected of the fiery fairy that is well known for her fire butterfly imprint, she is way weaker than us, she managed to erase our imprint.”

“Shall we look around the area?”

“Let’s just go back. I doubt that she will come again to cause trouble anyway.”

It seemed that for Lindt and Vanya to be able to create an extreme act of terrorism like destroying the United Heroes headquarters, they aren’t acting individually and there are many people that are supporting them.

Back in the orphanage, there is no way for Max to directly brought Yuna to enter through the main entrance. There will be a lot of questions that he will need to go through from the orphanage’s caretaker. Max moves towards his room from the outside. His room is on the second floor so it will be quite a hassle to enter his room. If he is alone, he could get in easily however as he is carrying Yuna, it will be a problem.

“Could I use the wind to carry her body to my room?”

Max then used his superpower to open the window to his room. It is something that he frequently did whenever he sneaks out to go training late at night. The next problem however is how to bring Yuna with him to his room. Max then tried to use the power of the wind to lift Yuna’s body to his room, however halfway through, he could feel that his power faltered and Yuna’s body falls into his arm again.

“Shall I try that move then?”

When Max practiced his wind bullet move, the moment the wind bullet exploded, it has enough power to send his body backward. He is thinking that he might be able to use that kind of driving force to help him propel his body in a direction. For example, giving an additional push to send his body forward quicker or to add mobility on the battlefield as he jumped upwards higher than normal.

“I never tried it before, not to mention carrying someone with me, but in theory, it should be possible right?”

Max starts to gather a ball of condensed wind. It was bigger than the wind bullet to make it easier to control although the power will be much less potent.

“here I go.”

Max jumped forward and at the count of three inside his heart, he sends the ball of condensed wind into an upwards explosion, giving his body a sudden burst of push as it sends his body upwards.
