Dream Girl

"Who are you?" Xander continues staring at the girl sleeping peacefully. He still can't believe that she is right here. It feels like she just jumped right from his dreams and straight into his life, bringing with her the comfort that has swept his soul. His troubled and battered soul is now so calm he can barely remember how it felt like. All the anguish he felt has dissipated and all that remains is a simple but strong desire to be with her. To hold her, embrace her and feel her warmth cover his entire being. He takes her hand and rubs it, enjoying her warmth and loving the feel of her skin on his. Her aura is so alluring to him so much that he feels like he is chained to that one spot he has been occupying for the past hours. He is both mesmerized and scared when he looks at her laying right there on his bed. He is afraid that she might disappear from his life just as quickly as she came. So he has been watching her, making sure she is alright. Her chest moving up and down puts him at rest and eases his worry about her. For now she is stable and peaceful. He feels a sense of pride too when his eyes fall on her figure that is clad in one of his T-shirts. He never imagined having such a lovely sight in his own bedroom but here she is. He thanks the heavens for bringing her to him now. Because of her, everything going on in his life feels easier to bear. Thanks to his mother too who was already on her way to him when he called her and they managed to get her to his cabin quickly and she got her changed. She also got their family doctor to examine her. And according to the doctor she has a mild concussion which surprised him because he expected something much worse after seeing her hit that tree. He actually thought it would be so severe it would threaten her life. All he can do now is just wait for her to open her beautiful eyes. His own travel back to her beautiful face that he can't get enough of. Her gorgeous silver locks on her pale skin look like they blend into each other and appear so beautiful. She is like a dream, so pretty and beautiful yet so strong and fierce at the same time. He wonders what kind of person she is. With what he saw earlier he is intrigued and can't wait to learn more about her. He can't wait to talk to her too, to hear her soft voice again that he had heard just once in one of his dreams. So many questions are going on in his mind too. He wants to know how all of this is possible. His dreams, his experiences and what the angel being meant when he called him a prince. He rests his hands on his head and leans back on the seat. As exciting as it is to want to learn about his past he is also scared of what he will find, and those two extremities are wearing him out too. "Well that's it." He looks up at his mother who looks worn out from the events of the day. She is just from walking the doctor out of his cabin. He feels bad that he is making her go through all this just for him. Even though she would say otherwise. From the time he was young she always told him she would always be there if he ever needed her. And she has kept her word ever since. "Aren't you going to rest?" His mother repeats the same question she has been asking for a while now. But Xander is not interested, he wouldn't budge even when the doctor was examining her. He just can't bring himself to part away from her. "No am ok." "Hey... she'll be alright but you won't be if you keep on like this." "Am fine mom, don't worry." He smiles at her dryly. "I never thought I would see the day my baby would fall in love." His mother has a huge grin plastered on her face and Xander just chuckles. He doesn't even try to deny it because he is totally whipped. This mysterious girl in front of him has captured his whole being. He sits quietly for a moment before he turns to his mother, looking at her seriously. "Xander?" "Mom I think she may know who I am and where am from." "What are you talking about?" His mother looks at him thoughtfully. "I can't explain it. But I can feel it with everything in me. Somehow we are connected. It may not be by blood but its something close" His mother looks at him confused. "I know it doesn't make any sense but I swear something about her is connected to me somehow mom." He looks at his mother and she smiles at him. "Let's wait for her to wake up before we can make any conclusions okay." "Yeah sure...there is also something I need to tell you." He looks away from his mother and back to the girl. "Some weird things have been happening to me lately." He starts. "What stuff? And why are you only telling me now?" His mother comes to sit in front of him. She already looks worried even before he can tell her anything. This is the reason he kept everything to himself in the first place. "Firstly I didn't want you to worry and besides I thought they didn't mean anything until they started happening more frequently." "What...are you sick?" His mother looks panicked. "No mom." He takes her hand to reassure her. "Am fine." "Then what is it? What are these weird things you are talking about?" She caresses his cheeks as if trying to make sure he is truly alright. "Well...at first it was just dreams. I would see things, people that I thought were familiar but I have never met before. But after my 18th birthday it wasn't just dreams. They became visions and would make me pass out." "What? Is that why I found you out cold on the floor on your birthday?" He just nods and continues talking. "That's not the worst part." "What? What is really going on here?" His mother searches his face, the panic in her face not fading. "I have no idea mom." He looks back at her. "But I haven't been myself lately. So much has changed, I feel like am a whole different person altogether." He deliberately leaves out the exact details to keep her from freaking out. "Xander..." "And am sure she knows me because I have seen her before." "I thought you said you just met this girl." His mother frowns. "Yes and no." "You are not making any sense now baby." "The first time I met her was in my dreams. That's how come I knew her when I saw her today." He faces his mother again and finds her looking at him open mouthed. "You mean you actually saw her in your dreams?" She has a surprised look on her face making him smile. "Yes mom." He looks at the sleeping beauty and smiles. "She is my dream girl." And he means that literally.
