William stared at Jessica, this was the very woman he did not want to marry, but was forced upon him by his mother. A year ago, he was having the best time of his life with his girlfriend Mia. He loved her a lot, so much that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He wanted to marry her and he knew that it wasn't going to be an easy task to achieve considering he knew how his mother could get with him being the heir to the empire they had built for generations.
William had underestimated his mother and her lust for wealth. She had been eyeing Moore Company and the ways she could acquire it for years. When Jessica's father wouldn't budge with the acquisition deal, his mother sought other ways to go about it. The only way she would be able to seal the deal was with his marriage to Jessica.
Jessica could have said no to this marriage. They didn't even know each other. Her rejection would have meant the world to him, it would have meant that Mia and him could have had the life that he always dreamed about. But Jessica chose to rip them apart. She chose the easier way out for herself and took a life in that process.
Mia heard that William was going to get engaged with Jessica and she tried running away. Unfortunately, she met with a graphic car accident and lost her life. Before William could process the situation and deal with the grief and mourn for her, he was being married to the woman who was the cause of his misery. He loathed her now and couldn't care less about her. That was why when her entire life crumbled in front of him, he chose to look on coldly, offering no helping hand. He in fact thought it was fitting for her to drive herself insane and end up going to a mental hospital.
What he didn't expect was for her to return to his life, back from the mental hospital. It was like she was completely changed. He no longer recognised the Jessica he married. She was bolder and more confident than she had ever been. She actually broke into his room to seduce him!
"I've been waiting for a long time, William," Jessica said, swirling the wine in the glass. "Care to join me?" She looked at the bathtub and back at him.
When he didn't care to respond to her, she set her glass aside and got up pushing away the frothy veil, her entire body covering his view.
Ever since they were legally married, they had never performed their marital duties and that included physical intimacy. She wasn't Mia and he wasn't in the mental capacity to even think about bedding the woman in front of him.
But there were days when he thought of her. He wondered what it would have been like if they met without any of the misfortunes ever happening. What if Mia never existed? What if her family did not have to go through what they did? Would they have had a peaceful marriage? Would he have loved her? He thought about this for a long time before he picked his secretary, who resembled Jessica physically. It was no secret that he had slept with his secretary on multiple occasions, but he never felt anything other than loathing the next morning. He knew that he shouldn't compare a woman to his wife and bed her, but he still did. Sometimes he even wondered if the loathing he felt was towards Jessica or himself.
Jessica got out of the bathtub and placed her palm gently around his neck. She slowly tip-toed till her face was close enough to his and leaned in for a kiss.
Crackling electricity passed through William's body when her lips touched his. Even though he loathed her, he had a damn reaction!
Jessica didn't budge from the kiss. She knew what she was doing and she knew that it had to be done right. Although she didn't really love him, she knew that she was going to have it. If she put aside all the feelings and emotions and just looked at William for his physical appearance, then yes, the man was like fine wine, just getting better with the years to come.
William pushed Jessica away and stared at her baffled. What was she doing to him? Or was it the drinks that he had earlier before he came into his suite? Why was he being aroused by her all of a sudden?
Jessica walked back up to him even after she was pushed away. She wasn't going to lose, not now. She leaned in for another kiss, this time pressing her voluptuous body on to him, one palm on his neck and the other one tangled in his locks.
A heatwave surged up his body and he knew he was triggered. He never thought that he would actually get into a situation like this, especially with Jessica out of all the women out there. He never knew that she could be such a temptress, breaking into his suite and now breaking his will to walk away.
William took a sharp breath and pushed her away again, this time with a little more force. "Jessica, get out of here."
"William, you've been snubbing me for more than two years, and I haven't been able to see you or be with you the way I could've been. It feels like you've locked me out for a long time now," she looked at him with sad eyes. Somewhere in her heart she knew that it was true. He had never given her a chance to be Mrs Patel. Maybe if all had gone well, then they would probably be in love too.
Jessica's words hit him directly. Yes, it was true that he never gave her a chance, but the reason for his misery was her. He couldn't treat her like a wife. But what she was doing right at the moment was just beyond what he ever cared to imagine. Her coming back into his life and tempting him into the depths of sin.
Jessica hooked her hand around his neck and drew him in closer for their lips to meet and her palm trailed down his chest. As she got closer to his treasure, he stopped her from moving any further. Coldly pushing her to the wall, he held her chin in his palm.
"Jessica, you tried to marry me at the beginning and now you also want me to satisfy you? Impossible!" He scoffed.
"But William, I can't help it. As your wife, it's my duty to serve you!" Jessica blinked innocently.
Why Jessica was pretending to be his wife and cozy up to him was beyond him. But he knew for sure that he was not going to let her win. He wasn't ever going to accept her as his wife. He was going to show her the consequences of messing with him.
With a cold snort, William's palm moved over her smooth skin and his thin lips pressed against her ears. "If you want it tonight, I'll give it to you, but from tomorrow, you won't be Mrs. Patel anymore!"
William took her delicate body and pressed against her, ravaging her lips like a monster. His hand trailed down her supple bosom and she shuddered in response. He wanted more of that! With a rough growl, he began stripping, almost tearing off his own clothes. Jessica fumbled along with her delicate hands and desperately prayed for the clothes to come off soon. There was so much to do without them.
….
Jessica layed on the king sized bed exhausted, hurting but mainly satisfied after what William had done to her. She knew that William was a strong man, but she realized that he was also a very 'big' man. Although she felt like he was tearing her into two, she knew that there was no going back for her. He had her pretty much addicted to his body.
But reality came crashing down on her when she realized that William was not beside her. It wasn't like she was expecting him to stay by her side till the sun came up and then cuddle with her. But for all it's worth, she was going to persue him no matter what.
Her phone rang, bringing her out of her racing thoughts.
"Jessica, William sent a lawyer to ask you to sign the divorce papers," Charles, her secretary, worriedly spoke into the phone.
Jessica frowned as William's words rang in her ears last night.
If you want it tonight, I'll give it to you, but from tomorrow, you won't be Mrs. Patel anymore.
He did what he said.
Jessica put on a cool smile. "Tell the lawyer that William and I are fine and have no plans to divorce."
From that day onwards, William sent his lawyer every day, and Jessica put up a brave front and turned down signing them. She wasn't going to let go of him, especially when it was pretty much the beginning of her plan to seal her title as Mrs Patel.
After a week passed by, it was about time William lost his patience with her. Jessica's phone began ringing.
It was William himself!
