"What an eventful day," I muttered.
Selene laughed and she gave me a high five. "You should have told me earlier that she was the one who tried to kill you. I would have brought something more lethal," she announced and gave me a knowing stare.
I giggled and narrowed my eyes at her. "I did not take you for someone very mischievous," I teased.
She shrugged. "Let's just say that I've had my fair share of cruelty." She exhaled sharply as if she was seeing an old memory.
I felt concern hit me. "What do you mean? What happened to you?" I asked.
