AURORA I felt groggy, my joints ached as I attempted to stand up. I winced under my breath my head pounded relentlessly and when I was finally able to, I fluttered my eyes open. I sighed and felt the need to stretch and when I turned to the side, my eyes almost bulged out of their sockets as I noticed a sleeping Kane beside me. Our proximity was closer that I expected. His hair was tousled and I never thought for the life of me that I was going to admit this but he looked so angelic in his sleep, the edge his face usually held was non existent and was replaced with a strange sense of vulnerability that I was convinced that he was incapable of having. I was almost tempted to lean over and run my fingers through his hair in soothing motions but I resisted it. At least, struggled to like it
