AURORA
I felt the tender brush of fingers against my hair and my eyes fluttered open. I was so drained. Today has been a long day and has taken a toll on me isn't physically and mentally. I looked up to see Kane staring down at me. I could have almost sworn jes been there for a while, watching me sleep. I wanted to ask him how long he's been there but I decided against it. I was too drained to do anything and I just wanted to sleep.
“How long have I been out?” I said, my voice sounding groggy and raspy. I rubbed my hands against my eyes, a half attempt to clear the sleep away from my eyes.
“Long enough for dinner to get cold” he said. His voice was empty of the edge that they held a few hours ago. I had no idea that time had passed. I adjusted into a sitting position and my eyes widened
