Shouting on the boats brings me from my sleep, and it wakes Mani, too. I stand, ready to yell at everyone for waking her, but I see land on the horizon.
“Is that it?” Thora asks excitedly.
Anders smiles at us. “It’s home.”
We are still some ways away, but there is hope of getting off this boat and onto land soon. It’s so far that it’s hard to make out, but I swear I can see the cliff from my dreams.
Mani fusses and begins to cry, but Anders just takes her, and she calms down almost immediately. She truly loves him.
“One last feed on the boat?” I ask Eric as he grabs the bucket, and he nods.
“We should be there soon.”
