CHAPTER FOURTEEN Ariel drove back home, but only after they shared a heated discussion in the parking lot. Max didn’t want to allow her to handle his car, and the woman didn’t even think to put her life in his hands when he had only one that he could use without restrictions. “I know you’re upset with me right now, Max,” Ariel said apologetically. “If you want, once we get back to your house, I can call a cab and go home,” the woman shrugged, thinking that the man had tried her patience enough that night.
