“I, Future Luna Jade Ariana Thomas-Allen, reject you, Alpha Julien Chase Bane,” I said to Julien’s back as he pulled me through the school.
He shivered, his knees buckling, indicating he was feeling the pain of the rejection. It surprised me more than anything since it was the proof I needed to show me he wasn’t lying. We were true mates. Why did I get a true mate? I understood Colette getting one, but why me? “I reject your rejection.” He growled out through gritted teeth.
I widened my eyes in amazement as he straightened himself, continuing to walk us forward down the halls. I frowned, looking down at our hands. Why didn’t he accept it? Someone like me doesn’t deserve someone like him, he’d be better off with a better woman. Why me? I lifted my eyes, looking at his back.
