‘What are we going to do?’ Erik asked me as we got our lunch. I wasn’t able to meet Colette this morning before class because I ended up being late for school. I even forgot my phone at home, stupidly. I was a disaster after last night, all of what happened swirling through my head, and it didn’t help that I felt so weird. Ever since Colette ran off last night I felt strange, weaker, less myself. It was better once I got to school though, but not all the way good. More of an off feeling. ‘It’s because you haven’t accepted and marked our mate. We are weaker away from her, and if we’re away from her for weeks on end we will slowly die.’ Erik said softly.
