CHAPTER 14 Kennedy looked back once as she and O’Brien headed toward the student union building where the Voice held its offices. Willow was staring at her through the window of their dorm. “She your bodyguard or something?” O’Brien asked. “No, just my roommate.” O’Brien’s hands were in his pockets, and his shoulders jutted up toward his ears. “I’m sorry I had to interrupt your night like this, especially if you’ve got other stuff going on.” He jerked one ear toward his shoulder, making his neck vertebra crack. Kennedy winced. “Don’t worry about it. So what’s this meeting all about?” He wrenched his head the other way. More pops and creaks. “This is basically where you get chewed out for your antifeminist opinions, and I get slaughtered for allowing you to publish it in my section.”
