I watch her as she sits with him some four or five tables across from me, smiling and laughing brightly. Her beautiful face illuminated by the sunrays although I could only see the half of it since her back was to me. She thought moving to New York would help her escape me. Like it was that easy? Silly girl. Who has ever escaped their past?  He has his hands around her shoulder and my scalp prickles at the sight. I feel like strangling him. She looks happy and relaxed. She was never like this with me. She used to smile but it was measured. She has hardly ever laughed. Why? What did I not do for her? I made her happy and I made her embrace the dark insatiable side of her. Hell, I made her scream my name every time I f****d her. And now what? Does he makes her scream? I bet he can't. He can never touch her the way I did.  He kisses her and it takes all my strength not to throw my coffee mug at him. How dare he touch her!  She was mine...I claimed her...I owned her and I will take her back again. Even if it takes banishing all those she loves and cares for. I don't give a s**t about that. If I want something I get it. Because I was Tristan Jacques...and I don't share what's mine. Ever. I finish my coffee pay the bill get up and leave. My revenge and my journey to claim back what's mine has just started. I have to plan everything carefully. Watch. And look for the best possible chance.  There was no escaping now, Mia.  Because I was back...with a vengeance.  ------------------------------------------------------------------------
