Rose's office, right under his nose.
There are computers and file frames on the mahogany table. In order to prevent radiation, several pots of succulents are placed beside the computers, just like any other office of a white-collar employee, what was out of place was the purple box that was opened on the cabinet, his eyes sank to it.
Rose likes red roses. He knew that, the question was, who gave her such a well thought bunch?
Suddenly, two words jumped into Joseph's mind. His face was instantly heavy and terrible. He dialed the inside line directly and sank: "Michelle, didn't I say I was allergic to the fragrance of flowers. Look for who has flowers in the office and clear them away immediately!"
When Joseph hung up the phone, Michelle, who still had a mouth full of stuffed rice, looked much stupidified.
When did Joseph become allergic to flowers?
She really didn’t know!
A little while later, Rose bought lunch and Joseph's coffee and returned to the company.
Taking the items directly into the president's office and gave them to him "Your coffee order, a double shot of espresso, and your lunch, medium rare stake. I also brought you some water which you didn’t order for, although you know better than to not increase your intake of water."
The words flickered to a stop when Rose realized that she had said too much, so she put down the items and left in a hurry.
Joseph stared at the take-out bag on the table, refusing to allow his heart to be melted by her concern, but still, his hand stretched out and he opened the lunch box, and his face was uncertain.
When was time to get off work, Rose called David and asked him to wait for her back at her home. She drove herself back home.
David came back with a lot of gifts, especially remote-controlled aircraft and warship models, which Mark liked a lot.
He hugged David as tightly as he could, squeezing his little arms around David’s neck, "David, you are the best!"
"When we go out to eat later, Mark will do Uncle a favor, okay?" David touched his head and whispered to the little guy.
The little guy nodded heavily and smiled "Uncle David, you can be rest assured, I promise to help you!"
At seven o'clock in the evening, Rose, who had changed clothes, took her son to David's car and went to a French resturant together.
This is the most exquisite and luxurious French restaurant in the center of Manhanttan, Per se. The tables, chairs and plates in the restaurant, including the exhibits, are all high-grade, and the environment is elegant. It is necessary to make an appointment three days before the reservation can be made.
After sitting down, Rose couldn't help but say, "David, it's just a meal. You don't have to choose such an upscale restaurant."
"This French restaurant food tastes good." David smiled slightly and motioned to her for the order. "If you don't mind, I'll order?"
Rose nodded.
Soon, David looked through the menu and ordered the meal, adding a bottle of Bahans Haut Brion red wine from 1989.
Red wine is put in a small silver ice bucket and sent together with some champagne glasses and a small fruit juice for Mark.
"Wow! David, thank you so much!" The little guy cheered and happily took the strawberry juice. "Mommy always drink it along with some snacks and she won't let me drink it, because she worries that it would cause me harm."
Rose glanced at him with mock angry "How dare you say it? I don't drink it every time I eat snacks. Look at your two thin legs, and I'm sure even girls your age run more than you, I am trying to help you eat healthy."
"No!" The little guy retorted and pouted. "I just won the 100-meter long-distance running champion twice in a row before moving here, and the teacher praised me for being fast!"
"Yes, our Mark is the best." David smiled and told him. "Then eat well now, your mother won’t take it from you this time."
The little guy replied, "Okay, listen to Uncle David!"
The waiters served their food quickly. Rose looked at what David had ordered and found that they were all her favorite food, including the traditional French cuisine Boeuf Bourguignon.
From time to time, the little guy made a funny remark or two, which made Rose and David laugh.
Their table was happy and lively.
Rose smiled and slightly look up just at the door opening caught her gaze, the door of the restaurant was opened by the waiter, and a familiar beautiful figure came in, followed by a man whose body she knew all too well.
When she clearly saw the man who was behind Isabella, Rose’s shock made her smile to die as she quickly looked away before he could see her.
Why is he… why was he here for dinner?
Noticing that Rose's hands which were holding her utensils were shaking slightly, David turned around and saw Joseph walking their way along with Isabella, a young man, led by the waiter.
And unfortunately, Joseph’s party sat down at the table behind them.
"Come Rose, try this creamy desert." David only looked at the scene for two seconds before he pulled back his sight to the beautiful woman he was dinning with. He was familiar with Joseph and his party and gave Rose a part of his meal from his own fork, the gesture had intimacy written all over it. "This is the special for tonight."
"... Ok." Rose nodded.
No matter how hard she tried to pretend that she didn't care that Joseph was sitting behind her, she felt his cold gaze on her and that made Rose feel like she was sitting on pins and needles, and the delicious food became like card box in her mouth.
The table that Joseph and his party sat in were not so far so Rose could smell Isabella's perfume.
It is also a perfume she used to like, Lady Million.
Scent, a perfume brand, went bankrupt and was dismantled and sold in pieces instead of a company as far back as ten years ago, when the shareholders of the company had a dispute over shares, and the production lines of major factories had already stopped producing orders from the company, so she knew that the perfume was probably hers from a long time ago.
Did Joseph give Isabella all her things?
As early as when Joseph came in, the little guy saw him, and he was not very happy. When he saw them sitting at a table behind him, he was even unhappier. He mumbled "This aunt has so much paint on her face, she looks like a color palette we use in school. She came here looking like she is wanting to go for a carnival. Hmm!"
Isabella happened to hear Mark not so whispered words, and her face flushed with anger even as she felt like cautioning the boy’s mother who has said anything since her son spoke, shouldn’t see be correcting her son...
Bastard, bastard!
Why can you meet these kind of people when you eat here?
Rose turned to stare and looked at her child with warning eyes. "Mark, do you want to be grounded?"
The little guy quickly buried himself in his juice and kept his mouth shut.
"The little guy is a child, you know children don’t filter what they say." David said with a smile, picked up the napkin in front of him, reached out and gently wiped the corner of Rose's lip. "Look, you don't even notice, the sauce is on your mouth while you were berating your child."
Joseph was flipping through the menu, and when he accidentally caught David's action, his eyes tightened.
"No, nothing." Rose hesitated for a moment and grabbed the napkin from his hand, looking embarrassed.
After dinner, the plate was removed, and the waiter brought some snacks.
Also at this time, the lights of the whole restaurant suddenly dimmed, and the warm yellow wall lights were turned on, which made the whole restaurant seem to be surrounded by warmth, and a group of musicians stepped onto the small stage in the center.
When Rose wondered what was going on, David, who was sitting opposite her, got up slowly and stretched out his hand to her.
"Miss, would you care to dance?"
"I'll answer for Mommy, yes, yes!" The little guy said excitedly and pushed Rose. "Mommy, hurry up, and don't waste this opportunity before the song finishes!"
"Well, you love watching me dance, won’t you join us?" Rose held her son’s hand before looking David and David, although he wanted private time with Rose. He hesitated a little and gives his hand to David.
As soon as the music started, she learned it was Waltz.
One of the few dances she hasn’t taught her child yet and one of the few dances she enjoyed immensely with Joseph.
