Briar POV It's been two days since I returned to work. I've seen Calob in passing and spoke to him about patient care, but he hasn't tried to talk about us again. I'm grateful but not naive enough to think he is just going to accept that we are over. It's going to take time for him to accept my decision, and hopefully he will give me the space I asked for. We will always be in each other's lives because of our child, but I'm hoping he will make peace with the fact that we will never be more. I have no doubt that he will be an amazing father and I want him to be involved with his child in every way. He has already told me he will be attending my next prenatal visit.
