THE SECOND MURDER

At this time in the Johnson household ,

Everyone has left for party at old Gramps' friend's place and now at home there is only George Sophia's Uncle and her step mom Maria . After their love making session was over Maria came downstairs for dinner and George was bathing upstairs .

Maria went into the kitchen , she looked around for food after looking around for a while she decided to check the kitchen . '' There must be something here '' she muttered . When she opend the door she saw mixed rice along with pork . '' This is my favourite , how did that girl knew this ?''' she mutters .

'' Anyway let's eat i will save some extra one for George '' she thought . She took some spoons from the kitchen and sat down onto the dinner table to eat . '' Should i wait for him ?'' she thought . '' But he didn't came yet and i feel hungry '' she thought .

'' Guess i will eat it after all '' she said to herself . She took the sauce and poured it down onto the rice . '' I love it with soya sauce after all '' she mutters . She took one bite after mixing the rice with sauce . '' Mmm hmm it just tastes great '' she remarks .

It was around 11: 30 pm by then . It was around the third bite she felt very sick and nauseating . '' What is this i feel ?'' she utters . '' My chest it's burning ahh i can't breathe , help me someone George '' she was shouting for help .

She tried to struggle and go up the stairs . But she fell down . '' Help '' she tried to utter with all of her strength in the body but he words weren't coming out of her throat ..'' Why can't i speak ?'' she utters . Right at that someone came there .

'' This is the last dinner you had '' that person said . Maria looked at him . '' Oh who i am ?'' that person said . ''I am the death god who has come to take away your life , like this '' he put a rope around her neck and strangled it tightly .

'' Stoop , i will ....... i will die '' she tried to struggle with all the strength she had . Her body wasn't responding to her she was becoming stiff . '' NO point in struggling '' that person whispered . The rope around her neck became even more and more tighter and she was looking for help desperately .

'' I won't let you live after all the sins you have done , you don't deserve to live '' that peson said '' i will erase all your sins by killing you from this earth '' . '' I ... what did ... '' she couldn't utter anymore . '' You killed Sophia's Mom , because of you she was killed , now you deserve to die the same way as she did '' it whispered .

'' Save me please '' those were the last word she could utter . '' I just love how you beg to me to save you but unfortunately i won't , goodbye miss evil woman , i will send your lover along with you to hell is that okay with you ?'' it hissed .

'' No.... Geo.. rg...e '' she couldn't speak any longer . '' Goodbye , miss you sinner , see you in hell '' it whispered . Right at that moment George arrived there . '' Who are you ?'' he stated . ''' What are you doing here ? to Maria ?'' he asked .

Without answering that person ran towards the door . '' Hey , stop there '' George called running after that person . But unfortunately that person disappeared in mid air . George thought that person went into the garden so went there and looked into every corner but there was no trace of anyone there .

'' s**t , where did it went into ?'' he cursed . '' I should go to her Maria '' he mutters . He rans back into the house . '' Maria '' he shouts . When he reaches there he saw her falling down onto the mattress . '' Answer , please ''' he calls taking her body onto the lap .

'' Maria '' he calls again . She doesn't answer , her eyes were all open as if looking at something , so ferocious and scary . He checks her pulse and there was no heartbeat in there . '' Did she .... really have died ?'' he utters , his voice trembling .

'' That man ... i don't know whether that was a man or not .. that person killed her ... but why ?''' he thought . '' Had she done something in the past ? but what kind of thing did she do that she had to be killed '' he mutters .

'' Wait a murder ... police will come and if they find out that she has died and i am the first witness then i will be suspected as the killer of her ... no that can't be happening ... i should leave this place , yes immediately '' he mutters .

'' First , i must do something about the fingerprints then yes '' he takes out his handkerchief from his pants pocket and swipes up all the places where could be the fingerprints of him then puts the body onto the ground .

He was about to go untill he noticed the food plate . '' Did she died eating this or something ?'' he thought . '' Then i must get rid of this quickly or else i may be suspected '' he thought . '' There may have been some poison here '' he thought .

He took the plate and spoons and threw the food away into some plastic bag . ''I will take it with me while leaving '' he said . '' But what about .. my alibi i didn't went to a party after all ... '' he thought . Right at the moment the thought comes to his mind .

'' I should leave immediately there's two car in the garage '' he thought . He takes the plastic bag along with him and leaves . '' Forgive me Maria '' he says before leaving . He hurriedly drives .

'' I should stay away from this for a while '' he thought while driving . '' That person who killed her ... won't kill me right ?'' he thought , his hands were trembling while driving . '' I don't know anything i wasn't there in the house when all of this happened i will deny all charges against ... yes or else i will be suspected '' he thought .

'' That look in those eyes full of hatred and anger also sad maybe there's something against those mother and son but if i am the next target cause i saw her being killed it will be .. no i won't get back to that place for a while now .. '' he said .

He drives till one or two hour and goes to the bar and drinks there all throughout the night . He was afraid that he could have been the next target .

At this time in the party hall , -------

'' Let's sing together '' old woman Lucy said ''everyone has to sing something dedicated to their loved ones '' . Everyone clapped . '' I will sing first for my husband and my friends '' she says .

She sang , her voice was not that sweet , but in her voice was the struggle and the fun and enjoyment of her old days , the days when she had left behind everything . But overcoming all the obstacles that had come her way she stll found happiness in the end .

Everyone in the hall was moved by her performance they all clapped . After everyone had finished singing . It was the turn for Edward . He took Sophia along with him onto the stairs and started singing together .

At first Sophia hesitated . '' Sing '' Lucy said . Sophia couldn't do anything about it so she sang at first voice wasn't coming out of her mouth , then she looked at his face and tried to sing .

'' The day we had met , and the day we had spent , and the times we were happy and the times we were sad '' Sophia sings . '' The time when i had met you and the time when i had touched you the warmth i had felt together with you '' Edward sings .

'' The laughter and joy , the sadness and bittersweet defeat and the moment when we reach victory , we will get over the hard times and smile again '' Sophia sings .

'' If it''s you together with me then i will defeat every enemy that comes our way '' Edward sings .

All thse while Sophia was looking at him and sang . '' Why were you behaving so weirdly with me ?'' she thought in her heart . She tried to express it with her song . '' My dear these feelings that i feel for you won't you answer them ?'' Sophia sings .

'' This prayer this is to protect you from all the danger that;'s coming your way , so i can send you off with a smile '' Edward sings .

'' Together we are..... one '' they sang together .

Everyone was applauding for them .

Then old woman Lucy said , '' Thank you to all who came here , i hope you get to spend the best of your time together with your family the the countdown starts . Five , four , three , two , one Happy new year '' she shouts along with others .

'' May this will be an fulfilled year and may you able to do the things that you weren't able to do last year '' she shouts . '' With this the party comes to an end , i hope you all had enjoyed see you all again this year '' she announced .

Some people were leaving after talking with Lucy . Many people had left then Sophia and her family went near her . '' Allow us to leave now , we really enjoyed all of this '' her Grandpa says . '' Oh , Mark i hope i hadn't disappointed you '' she remarks .

'' Not at all Lucy , you sing well too are you still practising ?'' Granny asks . '' Nope not at all only sometimes along with my grandson , wel he's like my on actually '' she remarks . '' What happened to your husband though ?'' asks Gramps .

'' He's bedridden and Edward's parents are no more in this world so i raised him along with my husband '' Lucy replies . '' I SEE , he seems like a good boy though '' Harry comments . '' Yes , he is he listens to everything i say '' says Lucy '' he's my proud grandson '' .

'' Stop it Granny ''Edward says coming there . '' I hope you all enjoyed this party '' he says to Sophia and her family . '' What about you miss ? did you enjoyed ? '' he asks smirking . '' Can i take this off ?'' Gramps says about the mask .

'' Oh you can take if off after leaving the place here , are you leaving right now ?'' Lucy replies . '' Yes , it's quite late '' Granny remarks . '' But it's not yet 1am will you leave ? '' Lucy grunts . '' Don't you worry , we can all meet again sometimes '' says Gramps .

'' Aunt Lucy , let us all now leave for tonight '' says Sophia's dad . '' Alright then , see you again in a while i will call you Mark '' says Lucy . ''' I will miss you Lucy '' Gramps says . '' You both can stop behaving like kids '' Layla her granny remarks .

'' ANyway , the driver is waiting for us , let's leave '' says her Dad . ''' Ah ,.. yes Happy new year and goodnight may this year will be full of happiness '' her Granny wished '' let us now part ways old friend '' .

'' Yes , goodnight , Sophia dear , you can come to meet us '' Lucy says . '' I will try to '' she replied . '' I guess she doesn't know that we go to the same college '' Sophia thoughts .

'' I WILL ESCORT YOU ALL '' Edward says . They head out together with him . Edward stood untill the car had left . Edward winked at Sophia when she was leaving . When they left it was around 12:15 am .

When they arrived at home it was around 1:15 am . '' It was a long trip '' remarks Sophia's granny . They got out of the car and was heading towards the gate . They went inside . The lights were stil on . '' Did she went to sleep already ?'' her Granny comments .

'' Maybe ''' Sophia replies . '' Anyway , let's get back to our rooms i am tired '' remarks her dad . '' I want to drink some water '' says her Grandma . '' Me too '' Gramps said . '' I will go get it '' Sophia said going towards the kitchen .

Her Dad had went upstairs . Grandpa and Grandma were both sitting in the living room .

Right at that moment they heard a shout .

They rushed there . '' What happened Sophia ?'' they ask. She fell down onto the ground . ''' M-mom ..... s-she ''' she stuttered her voice trembling with fear . They were shocked to see the sight before their eyes .

Maria she was lying there dead her eyes all open . '' What ? how did this happen ?'' her Granny stutters . '' Let me check her pulse '' says her Grandpa . He goes to her side sits down and checks her pulse . '' No use , she seemed to have been dead for quite a while her body is cold like ice '' Grandpa remarks .

'' That can't be who did this ? '' Granny asks . '' Maybe someone came to rob the house when we were away '' Grandpa mentions . '' That could be the only possibility '' Sophia agrees . '' I will go and call Dad '' she says .

She goes upstairs to call Harry . '' Why did this had to befall on our family ?'' Granny sighs . '' No one should touch her body , we need to call the police '' says Gramps . '' This seems like more than burglary '' he remarks .

Her Dad comes down . '' Maria '' he comes calling that woman's name . Seeing her body he fell down .'' Why did this happen to you ?'' he cried out in an empathetic voice . '' Dad , please take care of yourself '' comforts Sophia .

'' We need to find out how she was killed , let's call the police first , '' she says sobbing . '' These all happened cause we have left her here all alone '' he cried bawling his eyes out '' forgive me i wasn't here to see you for one last time '' .

'' These all happened because we went away '' he accuses . '' Calm down , we need to know whether this is an ordinary burglary or not '' her Granny remarks . '' I have called the cop Laxus he will arrive here early in the morning , they don't want to caue trouble for the neighbours at night '' Granmps remarks .

'' What will we do then now ?'' Sophia asserts . '' I guess we should be on watch , or else this may happen to us too , we need to put some guards in this place from tomorrow '' her Granpa remarks .

'' Alright then i think we should stay here near the body '' says Sophia . '' I think so too '' says her Granny . '' Did mom died after having dinner or something ?'' she thought . She went into the kitchen to fetch some water then she opened the fridge and saw the dinner plate which she had put in the fridge was missing .

'' Maybe she was killed when she had done eating and was going upstairs '' she thoughts . They all kept watching the body all throughout the night .
