Christmas night

It was the week of Christmas now . Tomorrow holiday at college . Next morning , After eating Sophia went to college she didn't saw Samuel at that time she was quite relieved not being able to see him .

Arriving by the car she saw Edward going towards the college gate , she god down and called him from behind . ''' Hey '' she called again . But he didn't reply and continued to walk . She walked faster than him and went in front of him .

Edward was surprised . '' Hey i had been calling you for a while now , why weren't you answering ?'' she asked . Edward paused for a moment . '' I didn't heard you sorry '' he apologized '' i must have ben lost in thoughts '' .

'' How much do you think anyway ?'' Sophia asked . '' Ah it's nothing let's go to class we have some assignments left which will be given by the teacher today '' he said checking his phone .

'' But what about the matter yesterday?'' she stated .'' Yesterday ? what matter ?'' he asked . '' What you forgot what i had told you the matter with Samuel ?'' she asked in a low voice . ''' Oh that matter it's okay did something happened ? '' he asked .

'' A lot we can discuss that in another place '' said she . '' OKay then let's go '' said he . They Went to class . Sophia couldn't concentrate on the class at all because of lots of things in her mind about the matter yesterday and EDward's strange behaviour .

'' Is he avoiding me ?'' she thought to herself . '' If that;s the case why ? why is he doing that cause i was assaulted by my step brother ? he thinks that i am a creep ? . If that's the case i can't tell him about the matter yesterday '' she reminded herself .

Edward kept looking at her cause she seemed to be lost in thoughts . '' You all will finish these assignments by Christmas , wish you a merry Christmas '' said miss . Everyone wished her but not Sophia .

'' Hey are you okay ?'' Edward asked her . '' Yes i am '' she replied gathering her thoughts . '' What were you talking about Samuel back then ?' he asked . '' No it's okay it's nothing that important '' she denied the question .

'' So tomorrow is Christmas do you have any plans for Christmas ?'' asked Edward . '' Well not exactly why ?'' asked she . '' Then would you like to go out ?'' he asked . '' But would i be able to what if my parents ask whom i am going out with ?'' she asked .

'' Well then tell that it's a party arranged by your classmates and you will go home after midnight '' he told her . '' Midnight will they permit me to do so ?'' she asked .

'' They will i hope try to persuade them i know you can '' he said .

'' But where will we go ?'' she asked . '' We will hang out at night and party till night one of my friend is hosting a christmas party he told all of us to bring our girlfriends along and most of the people there won't know you so you can make new friends there '' said he .

'' What do you think about it ? it's better than spending christmas in that gloomy house '' said he . '' well okay i will try to '' she replied . '' Hope to see you tomorrow then promise me you will come ''' he insisted .

'' Don't worry i will come '' she replied . '' This will be our first Christmas together '' he uttered , '' Yeah it is '' she replied . '' We have one more class also i need to fetch some books from library for the assignments '' Edward said .

'' You go then i have to attend a seminar it will be over by the evening you can head home before me then '' said she . '' Okay then see you tomorrow then '' he told '' tomorrow i will call you around at 8 pm then i will come by the gate of your house '' .

'' Okay bye Merry Christmas in advance '' she replied . '' A very merry christmas dear now go '' he replied heading towards the library . All throughout the seminar she couldn't concentrate at all she thought about the various ways to persuade her mom cause she will be the hard one to please .

And also her father and the worst case her brother how can she persuade them all ? . After the class was over by the evening she went to the car but she spotted Edward there she called out again he didn't answer .

'' I wonder what happened to him ? anyway i have lots of things on my mind now '' said she . When she reached home she saw her mother and father talking about something . When they saw her her father called out to her .

'' Come here Sophia '' called out her father '' come here sit '' . She went and sat beside her father . '' What are your plans for tomorrow ?'' he asked . '' Why ?'' asked she . '' We are planning to go on a Christmas party one of my old friend invited me , will you come ? '' he asked .

'' I .... '' she paused , she thought about her plans with her boyfriend Edward . '' What are you thinking so much about ? do you have any plans ?'' her mother said irritatedly . '' I have some plans my classmates have arranged Christmas party at 8 pm and it will be over after midnight '' said she .

'' Midnight ? and a young girl like you ? i cannot allow this at all '' her mother denied . '' But mom '' she implored . '' You know you haven't stayed that late until now right ?'' he said . '' Yes i know ''' she replied .

'' Then can you take care of yourself ?'' he asked . '' Yes i can '' she insisted . '' No way i can permit this at all '' her mom protested . '' If you say you can come back safely i can allow you to '' said her father .

'' No you can't go '' her mom protested . '' Please try to understand you don't know the times of now they are young boys and girls what if they try to do something inappropriate ?'' asked her mother .

'' Will you take the responsibility for her ? and the shame she will bring upon the family ?'' she yelled . '' No i won't do anything like that '' Sophia said getting up . '' I don't believe a word you say '' said her mom '' i won't allow you to go '' .

'' BUt mom '' she uttered . '' You can go '' her father permitted . '' Dear ,you , i don't know anything , you will be responsible for her '' her mother rushed out . '' Don't worry about her she will calm down , i will persuade her '' said her father '' you may go tomorrow '' .

'' Thank you dad '' she hugged her . '' Now go '' he said . '' Is Samuel going too ?'' she asked her dad . '' No i heard he's holding a party here , he's bringing his friends here as i heard '' said he .

'' Oh i see '' she replied . '' ANyway i have some work i am leaving now we will go in the evening tomorrow '' said her father . '' See you dad '' she replied . But her mom just wouldn't agree even during dinner she didn't talk to her at all .

Next day , it was the night of the 24th . Sophia spent her day reading books and doing assignments her teacher had given her . At evening her parents were about to leave for the party of her father's friend .

When they were about to leave Sophia wished them ' Merry Christmas ' . '' Merry Christmas dear '' said her dad . After a minute of pause her mother replied ' Merry Christmas adverting her gaze '' don't stay out too late let's go dear '' .

'' Take care of yourself and try to come back home soon '' her dad said . '' I will now go '' she replied . She watched as they left . Her brother arrived at that time . ALL the servants were preparing the dishes for the party .

She watched them doing all the work . Samuel came along with his friends by the evening . Sophia stayed in her room . She heard all the noise they made . At this time her brother came and knocked on her door .

''Sophia are you at home ? come downstairs we are starting the party '' he called . ''No i won't go i don't feel like coming '' said she . '' Why ?'' he asked . '' I have some plans i am going to a party '' said she .

'' Party ? did dad allow you to ?'' he asked . '' Yes did '' she replied . '' Okay then i am going back '' he said . Sophia stayed in her room all throughout the evening . At 7:30 Edward called .

'' I am coming to your house in twenty minutes get ready '' he said . '' Okay come fast '' said she . '' Dress up prettily '' he said . '' Yes i will '' she replied . She got ready . She wore one piece dress and heels , tying her hair to one side , and lip gloss .

'' Nice '' she complimented herself . 'Edward called . She hurriedly came downstairs . Her brother and her friends were in the living room . She left without greeting them . '' Hey why are you in so hurry so that you can't greet my friends ?'' her brother demanded .

'' I am sorry '' she apologized and left . At the gate Edward was waiting for her . '' Did you waited long ?'' asked she . '' NO i didn't and i don't mind waiting for a pretty lady like you ,you are looking gorgeous '' he complimented .
