Chapter Five - Training

A week had passed, and Sasha had barely seen Ayden. He was definitely avoiding her. In this time, she had decided that he was worth fighting for and she was going to do just about anything to make him realize that they did belong together. It was a new day and Sasha took care to dress this morning. Making sure to put on the necklace that he had given to her. She tied her hair up and creamed her face. She checked herself up in the mirror and smiled. She was ready for phase one of her plan. She greeted Lilly in passing as she made her way to his office. She didn’t knock nor hesitate before entering. He was standing at the window with his back to her and his scent hit her immediately. She breathed in his scent and felt her body relax; her wolf was jumping in joy at seeing him.
“Don’t you knock?” he questioned her without turning around.
“I suppose I could have,” she teased him, he turned to look at her.
“Next time, knock.”
“Oh, of course,”
“Is there something I can help you with?”
“Yes,”
“Well? What is it?” she watched him, he was guarded, and she couldn’t tell what he was thinking. But she wasn’t going to back down now.
“This is stupid, what do you expect me to do?” she asked him as she crossed her arms. He frowned.
“What do you mean?”
“Do you expect me to just hang around this place all day, every day?”
“Is there something you would prefer doing?”
“Yes, actually there is.”
“And what is that?”
“I want to continue my training.” She stated bluntly. She watched him closely. She knew that he trained daily with his pack. She also had her argument ready if he denied her.
“Continue?”
“Yes, my father allowed me to train with the pack.” He raised his eyebrows at this.
“Very well then. Your training starts tomorrow morning at sunrise.” She smiled victoriously.
“Thank you,” she turned to leave, happy that her plan was set and going the way she wanted.
“Sasha, you won’t be training with me,”
“But then?”
“The females that are signed up for training have training on the other side of the camp.” She growled in frustration. This was not part of the plan. She knew of some packs that had males and females train separately but she didn’t think it here. She stood there glaring at him, unsure of what her next move should be. She had wanted to be with him in training so that he couldn’t just ignore her. Now she’d get the training she’d wanted but not the benefits of seeing and being with him.
“Sasha?” He moved towards her and she took a step back, warning bells going off.
“So, when do we get to see each other?” she cried out. She was tired of this cat and mouse game.
“When would you want us to see each other?” he asked. This was it, phase one had been somewhat a success but now phase two was in action.
“I want to see you daily; partners should get to know each other.”
“You have accepted my proposal?”
“Yes,” she had been waiting for this part of her plan, she knew that by accepting his proposal of them being partners it would take their relationship to the next level. He was smiling at her and she was happy.
“Good, I am glad that you have. I will make the necessary arrangements. Dinner is at six and we will have time afterward to get to know each other. Also, your things will be moved to my bedroom.” He had turned, dismissing her and she was battling with herself. She didn’t want to move into his bedroom just yet, she didn’t want him to take her without accepting her as his mate. But she also didn’t want to mess up.
“Have a good day Ayden,” she said before leaving his office.

Ayden heard the door close, and he sighed in relief. He was glad she had decided to accept his offer and he was very pleased that she wanted to train. He laughed remembering her shock when he told her she can train with the females. He knew that she had wanted to train with him. But it wasn’t how he handled things. Males trained harder than that of the females. He took out his mobile and called for Joshua.
“Joshua, come see me in the office please and bring Jewel with you.” He hung up without waiting for an answer. He moved back to the window and stared out. He was looking forward to having dinner with Sasha. He truly did want to get to know her better. A few minutes later, there was a knock at the door.
“Come in,”
“You wanted to see us Alpha?” Joshua spoke. Jewel stood next to him, confusion all over her face.
“Yeah boss, you called me away from my girls.”
“Jewel, as from tomorrow, Sasha will be training with you. Make sure she has the right gear. And I want a daily report on her progress.” He waved his hand dismissing her. She snorted and left.
“Joshua, you know I appreciate Lilly’s help with Sasha, but I think she should join Sasha in training. Do you object?”
“Not at all, in fact, she’d enjoy it.” The two grinned at each other. “You want her to train or to keep an eye on Sasha?”
“Both, I like Lilly and I’ve heard from staff that the two of them have become friends,”
“Are you fishing for information?”
“Um…well, yeah,” they laughed. The two of them had grown up together as best friends, and although Joshua was his beta, he respected his friend’s opinion.
“All I can tell you is what Lilly has said, and that is that Sasha is a kind-hearted woman with a wonderful sense of humor.” Ayden thought about this, intrigued by it.
“Anything else?”
“I’m afraid that the only way you are going to get to know her, is by spending time with her yourself.” Ayden groaned. “Although, there is one thing that I can tell you.”
“Spill it,”
“She wolfs out every night.”
“And?”
“And…what if she was wolfed out and you were wolfed out?”
“Then what? What are you suggesting?”
“That you allow your wolf some run around time with his mate,” Ayden rolled his eyes, his wolf had been silent until now, screaming that he would love it.
“Alright, you’ve given my wolf a hard-on.” They laughed again. “You’ll make the arrangements with Lilly for training tomorrow?” he changed the subject.
“Definitely, anything else?”
“No, thank you, Joshua,” and with that Joshua left. Leaving Ayden and his wolf to plan the evening ahead.
