THE ANCIENT HUNT

BE MINE

Shael and the two other ladies followed the head maid out of the room and she took them to the yard where heaps of clothes were being washed by the assigned maids

"You all should get up" she said to the maids washing the clothes and they all stood up at her command

"You are free, you can all go and rest, these people here will do the rest" she said to them and they hurried out of the place as if they had been waiting for something like that to happen

"Now I don't know how all of you will do it but this clothes must be washed and dried within the next two hours" she said turning to them

"But we can't finish this in the next two hours" Shael lamented and the head maid gave her a look that could kill

"In fact, only you will wash them. I don't know how you will do it but you must finish them" the head maid said changing her plan but that only made Shael angrier

"Why are you all doing this to me? I just found myself here and I don't even know what's going on yet but you are all just passing me around like some ball. I never even any of them wrong, you should punish them for bullying me instead" she lashed out

"You don't seems to know where you are, you are at a place where there is no wrong or right, the only thing we are after here is serving the governor and making sure every of our works are done" the head maid spat at her and her brows rose up in fury coupled with confusion

"I refuse to work with this rule no matter what" she stated firmly and turned to go when the head maid grabbed her hair

she was struggling to get out of her hold when a voice cut through the chaos

"I think you should leave her hair before I have yours pulled out with hot water" the voice said and they all turned to see the governor's son standing few meters from them

They quickly composed themselves and Shael was rubbing her aching skull while also wondering whom either the intruder or her savior might be

"Welcome young master" the head maid greeted and she was ignored because he just walked past her and stopped in front of Shael

"You, when did you arrive here? I don't think I have seen you here before" he said smiling at her

"I woke up and found myself here today" she replied still massaging her skull

"Wow, you are so pretty to be grounded here, how about we do this? do you want to be my personal maid?" he asked extending his hand to her

she glanced at the two bullies who put her in the situation she was, the head maid who is glaring at her like she would have her head if she says yes before glancing back at the savior prince in front of her . She knew this is an opportunity that will find her once and she needs to grab it, she's not sure of whatever the outcome might be but she knows that she has to escape from the clutches of the the head maids and her bullies

"Yes My Lord, I will" she replied and watched them all rolled their eyes

"You should understand these things about me, I will have you around me like a leech, I don't go anywhere without my personal maid and you are not to answer to anyone except me" he stated and she tilted her head to think about it, the condition was favorable to her no matter how she thinks about it

She grabbed his extended hands as she lift her face to look at him properly, he was of average height and too beautiful for a man, he would have been mistaken for a lady if not for his dressing and grumpy voice, his Adam's apple was also peeking out from his throat

"From now on, no one should bully, talk to or oppress her, she's now mine, you know whatever is mine is mine right? I don't joke with them" he said turning to them and they all bowed at his wish before he signaled for her to follow him

She trailed the paths he took and they arrived at a separate quarter within the large compound, he opened the door to a room and pointed inside

"This will be your room, you should stay this close so you can hear me when I call" he said to her and she slowly nodded even though she was already finding it creepy and also annoying at the same time

"This over here is my room, you don't have to do anything like cleaning or arranging, just answer to me when I call, that is your duty in this house" he added and she nodded again, she loved the rules this time

With the order of no one disturbing her except him, she was glad that she won't have to deal with the head maid and others but she doesn't know how big of a job sticking to the young master like a leech will be.

The orphanage couple were still searching for Ahiga and Aditsan even though its been a while they left and they didn't attend the coronation so they didn't know Aditsan was the minister for external affairs.

"What do you think we should do about these two boys? how can they just disappear overnight?" Aylen lamented

"I guess they are tired of the orphanage since we sold Morgan and Cherpi whom they are best friends with, I honestly feel for them" Alona, her husband remarked

"I hope they are fine though, they've been here all their lives, I wonder how living outside this place will be for them" she sighed

"They will find a way to survive" he replied before one of the kids ran to announce the presence of a minister

"A minister is here? looking for us? why?" Aylen asked one after the other as she sprang up in fear

"Maybe they found them for us?" Alona added with his eyes lit up as they all scrambled outside to meet the minister but to their surprise, It was Aditsan

They stood still for some minutes looking at him speechlessly while he also stood there for them to have their fill and when they finally came to their senses, they quickly bowed in front of him to greet him

"you didn't have to bow" he said to them and motioned for them to stand up

"We were still talking about how you and Ahiga disappeared on us when you came in, where is Ahiga? he's here right?" Alona asked stretching his neck to check for him

"I and Ahiga enrolled for the hunt and we were accepted but he died on our way back, I just came here to tell you the news so you will quit searching for us. As you can see, I am now now the minister of external affairs thanks to the hunt. I will try my best to fund this orphanage so no kid would go hungry or will you have the thought of selling children to the palace to make money just because they have no parents" he said coldly and they both looked at each other in surprise, how did he know?

"Don't bother to ask how I knew but I want that to stop with I and Ahiga, you were the ones that pushed my friend to his early death, all he wanted to do was live her with Morgan and move out when he's of age but you robbed him of that dream and even his life. I don't want that to happen to any other child so as long as I'm the minister, I will fund this orphanage to the best of my abilities" he stated before motioning to his men

"Deliver the foods and every other necessities to them" he instructed and they began to offload what they brought

"We are so sorry for what happened, we didn't know it will lead to all these, we just wanted a way to fund the orphanage" Aylen pleaded and Adistan just nodded

"Do not sell anyone to the palace anymore, that place is too scary" he added and turned to take his leave

Lebby was busy reading a book in her chambers one evening when Morgan walked in with her tray of tea. Morgan had started serving her ever since she became Argan's wife and she had learnt so much about her. Just like her, Morgan is quiet, reserved and also hardworking, she knows everything there is to know about Lebby, what she wants, how she wants them and do all her parts diligently

"Your tea is here" she said as she placed it in front of her

"Thank you" Lebby said closing the book briefly before calling Morgan who was already headed for the door back

"You look so much like me and that makes me so interested in you, do you want to be my head maid?" Lebby asked and she stood there trying to process the offer she just heard from the queen

"You mean I should be the head of all the maids in your quarters?" she asked blinking continously and Lebby shook her head

"I mean you should be the head of all the maids in the palace" Lebby replied and she bowed immediately at her feet making her smirk.
