Babaylan- were shamans of the various ethnic groups of the pre-colonial Philippine islands. These shamans specialized in communicating, appeasing, or harnessing the spirits of the dead and the spirits of nature. They were almost always women or feminized men.
Batanes- is an archipelagic province in the Philippines situated in the Cagayan Valley region. It is the northernmost province in the country, and also the smallest, both in population and land area. Its capital is Basco located on the island of Batan.
Bernardo Carpio- is a legendary figure in Philippine mythology who is said to be the cause of earthquakes. There are numerous versions of this tale.
