I slam my bedroom door behind me in frustration but the truth is I have no idea why I’m so upset with her. Her happy demeanor is what I like most about her. Oh wait that’s it, it’s because I like it.
“Dammit!” I yell and hit the wall in frustration. I’m not supposed to like her.
“She’s your-“I cut Nima off
“Don’t you dare say it mutt” I grumble and he retreats back and cut the link. She’s not mine. Zia was mine, but she’s not here. A new wave of pain and rage boil up inside me and I let out a deafening roar into the night, making the windows shake. I hear a soft knock at the door and swing it open. Her beautiful face looks scared but she crosses her arms over her chest and lifts her chin.
