Killian POV
After last night, I didn't want to leave Eva's side. I wanted to be constantly touching her, laughing with her, relaxing with her, but we both had work to do and I couldn't push it. I couldn't crowd her, so I may have been a bit more back to my crabby self in the meetings until I saw her again.
Pres and Ethan thought it was hilarious and were growled at a few times. I also had to cut off my emotions so she wouldn't feel my desperation to see her and think I really had lost it.
When I finally had my magnificent mate in my sights, I felt like I could breathe again. I had to hold back my purr the whole time... and my constant need to touch her, almost in reassurance, but mostly for connection.
