Cinder When I was in my bed, I couldn’t fall asleep. For some reason, I couldn’t stop worrying about Pike - I still can’t. Pike being a human makes me worry about him twenty-four-seven, which is why I’m walking down the stairs leading to the basement. Jason is sleeping on the couch in the living room, and I’m guessing Pike is down here. Carefully, I open the door. It creaks loudly as I enter the dimly lit room, and my heart thuds in my chest when I find Pike standing in the middle of the carpet. He freezes when he sees me, shirtless, with his large, beautiful hands resting on the hems of his sweatpants as he turns around to look at me. There is shock and suspicion visible on his face as he speaks, “Jason said you could take the bed upstairs, so what are you doing in the basement with me
