My Hybrid Twin Mates

Mate (part two)

Justin's pov 

"Well, since we haven't found our mate, or mates, you and Hope still together?" I asked Louis as we made our way home to get ready for the party. We had played video games all day and now it was time to party, probably the last time I get to be irresponsible. "We broke up, thought it better to look for our mates in stead of staying together, fooling each other and wasting each other's time" he said and I nodded, "good call but I did tell you she wasn't the one, she wouldn't make a good Luna" I said and he stopped walking causing me to stop and look at him, "what?" I asked when he kept looking at me like I grew an additional head. "Hope would have made a great Luna, she's nice and good with people, everybody loves her!" He said sounding protective, "no Hope is too nice, sometimes a pushover and a little naive, not the makings of a good Luna and the moon goddess knew not to pair her with us" I said and he sighed knowing damn well I was right. "Well, your perfect Stephanie isn't the one either" he said as we began walking again, "hey, don't you dare go for Stephanie, she's hella strong and has a straight head" I said defending Steph, "still, she's not the one and goddess knew not to pair her with us" he said smirking, using my own words against me, "whatever, at least she doesn't have her head in the clouds" I muttered knowing damn well he heard me. 

We finally made it to our house and when we went inside, Chase and Sofia ran to us, "oh thank goddess you're here" Sofia said breathlessly, "what's wrong?" Louis asked just as alert as I was, my eyes darted around the house but I saw no immediate danger. "It's mom, come on" Chase said taking my hand and pulling me up the stairs, we quickly made it to our parents floor and that's when we heard our mother crying. I hurried ahead of everyone, the door was open, so I just went right in, mom was on the floor crying and the sight sent my dragon into a rage. I looked around but there was no one there, I checked the bathroom but it was empty, I checked the walk in closet but it was empty as well. I went back into the bedroom, looked at the window but it was half open, no sign of anyone using it as an escape route, "mom, what's wrong?" Louis asked crouching down to her, "everything is bloody wrong!" She yelled crying harder. 

"What do you mean everything is wrong? Did somebody hurt you?" I asked getting closer to her but she didn't answer, just kept crying. Where are our dads? And how did they not feel mom in distress? "What happened?" I asked Sofia and she shrugged, "I don't know, I just heard crying and came up to check" she said, eyes a little red looking like she wanted to cry. "Mom, do you want us to call your mates?" Louis asked and she went from sad to mad, "so they can lie to me? Cause all they ever do is lie, those assholes, I'm like this because of them!" She yelled and Louis and I shared a look. So this has something to do with our dads? Great, the only people that can calm her are the ones that pissed her off and left us to deal with it, "what did they do" I asked looking at the mess she made with her clothing, "what didn't they do, they got me pregnant and now I'm a big, fat and ugly whale that has nothing to wear to the party" she said crying, I looked at all the dresses scattered all over the place and I knew then I won't be getting anyone pregnant any time soon. 

"But mom, you have all these beautiful dresses to choose from" Louis said and that was a terrible idea, "these dresses are ugly and don't fit" she said crying louder, "good job asshole" I said through the link and he glared at me, "I don't see you doing anything and they say you're the smooth talker" he linked back rubbing on mom's hand trying to get her to stop crying. "Comfort our mother you dumb ass" Trey said to me annoyed, I took a deep breath and sat beside her, taking her hand in mine, "mom, you're not fat and most definitely not ugly, you're pregnant" I said and she abruptly pulled her hand from mine, "it's the same thing!" She yelled but I took her hand back in mine. "No, it's not, nature saw you fit to being life into this world, carrying and giving birth to a whole person is one of the most hardest things you could possibly go through and you do it so well, so graceful and you glow mom" I said and her crying calmed a bit, she looked me in the eye as if searching for the lies but there weren't any. "You mean it?" She asked sniffing and wiping her nose, "yeah I do, you're so beautiful and whatever you choose to wear, you'll be the most beautiful tonight" I said kissing her forehead. "Thank you honey" she said laying her head on my shoulder, "now, let's pick the best dress here" I said getting up and pulling her up with me, for the next thirty or so minutes, we went through her entire closet until we settled on a royal blue, sweetheart neckline dress that went all the way to her toes, the dress had white pearls that sparkled in the setting sun and she paired the dress with navy blue pumps. 

"Goddess Selene, you look amazing mom" Sophia said and mom smiled brightly, "thank you sweety, now go, all of you, go get ready" she said pushing us out, "really, that's the thanks we get?" Chase called out after the door was shut on his face, Louis and I made a fast dash down the stairs and into our room. If Chase got himself into trouble then we are not getting involved, mom is heavily pregnant and is a ticking time bomb, I'm not missing my own party just because of his big mouth. We went into our room and closed the door just as we heard a crash, "yeah I'm not dealing with that" I said locking the door for good measure, even though everyone in this house could open it without breaking a sweat. There was a suit on each of our beds, looks like mom took care of it, Louis went to shower first because apparently, I take too long, which is a total lie and it's not easy to get all this hotness ready. 

I closed off my thoughts so Louis couldn't read them, that's the one thing he always forgets to do, my mind drifted off to the thought of meeting my mate. I know I make it seem like I don't want a mate but truth is, I do, I've been waiting to turn eighteen since forever, I want nothing more than to see her bare my mark on her neck, goddess I can't wait to show her off. I witnessed the relationship between my parents and if its not like that then I don't want it and it's only like that with your mate, sure I've had a few girls around but the reason I was never in a relationship was because I wanted my mate to be the first girl I'd give all my love to. I sighed at the thought, I hope I find her soon, I was quite disappointed when Trey told me that she wasn't here, I was really hoping to end the night with my Luna but the goddess had other plans. 

I stepped into the shower the second Louis got out and washed all the sweat and cheap perfume away, taking my sweet time. Once I felt clean, I stepped out, put lotion on my body and went back into our room, Louis was on his phone only half dressed, thought he'd be done by now. He smiled and I grew curious, I snatched his phone and frowned when I saw that he was talking to Hope, she'd sent him a picture of her dress asking if it matched his suit. "Give me that" he said taking it back, "I thought you two were over" I said looking at him suspiciously and he rolled his eyes going back to his phone, "we are, mind your own business" he said putting the phone down and getting dressed. "Is she trying to look like a hoe, that's not her style, Hope is more elegant than that slutty dress she sent you" I said throwing the towel off and putting on some boxers, a low growl sounded in the room but I paid it no mind, "don't talk about her like that, she's a nice girl and a good friend of ours" he growled and I looked at him shocked. 

"She is our friend, which means she'll be hanging around us dressed like the lady of the night, she'll be dangling around your arm all night long. Other packs will be here, is that the kind of message you want to send out? And what if our mate shows up along with a neighbouring pack? How will you explain your ex girlfriend, dressed like a slut, hanging all over you?" I said and I saw realisation dawn on him, "s**t" he cursed under his breath, "exactly" I said going back to dressing myself, at least I know Steph will be dressed like a queen. Once we were done getting dressed, we stood on front of the mirror admiring ourselves, "I think I like mom's sense of fashion" I said and Louis nodded approvingly, "we should let her dress us more often" he said and I couldn't agree more. The black suits our mother had picked out looked as if they were custom made for our bodies, the pants fit quite nicely, white shirts which we left a few buttons open and the jackets were like the cherry on top, "I'd love to see Stephanie resist me tonight" I said with a smug smile, we looked like models. 

Our door opened and we heard a gasp, turning to see who had come in, a broad smile took over my features when I saw our mother, tears in her eyes. "Look at you both, you're so handsome. And all so grown" she said with a little pout, "we look that good huh" I said moving in for a hug, I hugged her as best as I could and Louis hugged her too after I pulled away. Our dads appeared behind her looking at us, even though their faces were set in stone, we could see the love shining in their eyes, "it's time" mom said and I looked at my brother who in turn looked at me, we nodded at each other before we all left the room. The party was set in the training grounds, you couldn't even tell this is where we beat each other's asses, it was decorated beautifully, tables filled with food and a makeshift stage. Mom and our dads led us through the crowd who parted to make a way, cheering for their current and future Alphas. Our friends, family and the current beta were waiting for us by the stage, we took our places and our parents moved to front of us to address the pack. 

"Members of Blood Haven community, I greet you. We are gathered here tonight to usher a new dawn for our pack, a new age and new leaders. We've been through a lot of hardships as a pack but we have conquered and survived, you put your faith in us as your leaders and I believe you will do the same with the next generation. You know I don't like speeches so we'll keep this very short, Justin, Louis step forward" dad said and we stepped up. "Put your right hand on your chest, over your heart" he instructed and we did so, "do you swear to lead and protect this pack with all your might?" He asked looking at us intensely, "we swear" Louis and I said in unison. "Do you swear to uphold the laws of our pack just as you enforce them?" He asked again, "we swear" we answered, "and lastly, do you swear to put the needs of the pack above your own at all times?" He asked, "we swear" we answered. "You now and until the next generation, are the Alphas of this pack" he said with a fond smile and I suddenly felt a rush of energy go through me, Trey roared and growled in my head dominantly and I could see him standing taller than ever. "We are the Alphas now" Trey said in a deep growl but I could also hear Damien say it Louis's head, "we sure are" I said out loud to my brother. 

Brian and Brandon were next and they were made to swear to protect and lead just like we did, the only thing that was left was a gamma, we didn't have one but Louis and I have been talking about making Cam our gamma. Sure she's lazy, a loud mouth and two years younger than us but no one can do magic quite like her and she's crazy smart. We wanted to wait until she was eighteen but I think my brother will agree that she's more than ready. "Ladies and gentlemen, you have your leaders" my mother said and the pack cheered, the two of us stepped forward and the cheers only grew louder, I could feel their happiness through the pack bond and those that had to be on patrol cheered though the open link. Louis lifted his hand and they quieted down, "Blood Haven, our honorable guests,  greetings. We would like to thank you for trusting us with your safety and prosperity, we vow to do our very best" he said and the cheers roared again. "We have an announcement to make, our parents didn't have a gamma but we would like to appoint one. Camilla" I said once the cheering had calmed down, I looked at my cousin, who had a shocked expression, I called her to the stage and she came to stand beside me. 

"We want you to be out third in command, only if you swear to protect this pack, keep it's laws just as you enforce them and put our people first" I said facing her and she looked at her parents, who both nodded with proud smiles, "I swear" she said in a strong voice and the croud erupted in cheers again. We stepped off the stage as the party began and we mingled with our pack and other pack's Alphas that could make it. 

"Did I tell you that you look like a goddess tonight?" I asked Steph making her hit my arm playfully, laughing, "like a hundred and one times already" she said sipping her wine, the long black dress she was wearing exposed her smooth back and held on to her hips, showing them off, I would have been more than happy to have her as my mate. Hope on the other hand was wearing a dress with a similar design to Stephanie's but hers was short, very very short, leaving nothing to the imagination short and Louis looked very uncomfortable as she held on to him like they were together, serves him right. " Do you smell that?" Stephanie asked and I looked at her curious, "smell what?" I asked instead, "that" she said breathing in deeply, "it's intoxicating" she said breathing in more and I looked at everyone else but they seemed to be confused as well, only her brothers and their mate had knowing looks. A growled ripped through the air before I could ask them what was going on and Steph whined, she was the first to turn around and I did too, curious to what she was looking at. My jaw hit the floor as I watched Alpha Jeremy of the Blue Moon pack slowly approach us, his eyes glowing red, s**t, Steph just found her mate. 

She walked towards him like she was in a trance, they stood in front of each other just looking at each other, "I've been looking for you for so long" Alpha Jeremy said and she smile brightly, she put her hands on his face and he closed his eyes leaning into her touch. In a blink of an eye, he had her in his arms and was making his way into the pack house, probably to his room that had been prepared for him, "guess who's gonna be mark in the morning" I said turning back to the group, "not you" Brian said and everyone else laughed, not cool. The partying went on for a few more hours and it seemed like no one wanted it to end, hell I was having more fun than I'd ever had before, well, before Trey started acting funny. "We need to go" he said pacing in my head, "woah, stop, you're giving me a headache" I said to him but he just got more restless. "What is going on?" I asked him but he just kept saying we need to go, "go where?" I asked and he was for a bit, "give me control" he demanded and I was really confused and a bit worried, what was happening to my dragon. 

"We need to go" Louis said but his eyes were glowing and his voice was deeper, Damien, he had control, "give me control!" Trey roared and I was distracted for a moment, giving him a chance to push me to the back and take control. We took off headed for the forest at lighting speed, we zipped passed trees and jumped over dead ones and before we knew it, we had already jumped across the river and were now headed for the border. We came to an abrupt stop not so far from the border, we looked around but there was nothing there, "what are we looking for?" I asked him but he ignored me and kept looking. Fed up with his silence, I fought for control and pushed him back but he wasn't very happy about it. I approached Louis but Damien was still in control, "give Louis back control and tell us what you're looking for?" I demanded and he growled before giving Louis control. 

"What the hell was that about?" I asked and he shrugged, I caught movement on the left of me and immediately went into alert mode, "we're not alone" I said to Louis through the link, "there, ten o'clock" I said and he looked without being too obvious. "I see them, split up and corner them" he said running ahead, I gave it a few minutes before I ran in the direction of where I noticed the movement and the figure jumped out from behind a tree and ran. I ran after the person and boy this guy was fast but there was something about their scent, it was faint, like they were hiding it but I still got a little whiff of it, and wished I could smell it every single minute, wait, what the hell? I sensed my brother ahead and led this guy straight into him, he jumped out from hiding, cutting our guy off and I came to a halt behind them, trapping him between us. 

There was something about this guy that I couldn't quite place, and Trey was going crazy in my head, "not now you i***t!" I yelled at him but he ignored me. I saw Louis stiffen and his eyes glowed a deep red, what the f**k, "you're a lycan" the guy said in a very feminine voice, a very enchanting voice, I took a step forward which seemed to make her aware of me and when our eyes made contact, I knew I was gone, "mate" Trey said and she gasped, "what are you?" She asked, "a dragon" I said and her eyes went wide "you're the hybrid twins" she said eyes going from me to Louis, "guess who's gonna wake up marked tomorrow" I said through the link and Louis smiled, "definitely us" he responded. 

"Vampires are attacking" came a voice through the pack link.
