Dad practically had to drag me out of the principal's office. When I started to throw a fit about watching Emma walk across that stage, I was hit again. Dad even went as far as to threaten to beat me with his belt if I didn't do as he said.
The moment that I stepped out of that office, I could hear the whispers. Emma had spread the fake news about what I had apparently done. It only took her minutes to completely destroy my reputation. Not that it was that great to begin with.
