Isabella’s POV
I returned home that evening. Mom and dad were present in the living room. Thomas and Freddie had dropped me in front of the castle and went to do their work. I was not in the mood to stay back and do small talks with them, but dad stopped me as I was trying to walk past them.
“Isabella, you came back so soon?” asks dad with a surprised look on his face. I turn to face him.
“Are you not happy to see me back?” I asked with a tilt of my chin.
“It’s nothing like that sweetie. Of course, I am happy to see you. I thought that perhaps you liked to stay in the city for a day or two” he explained.
“Well, I had promised Gabriel that I would come back in two days. That’s why I am back early” I reply to him.
“Come and sit with us for some time” dad looked hopeful.
