Leslie felt her heart cut in disappointment as she stared at Wendy. “But why?” she asked
“I've been temporarily banned.”
“What? Who did that?” She asked, anger filling up her heart fast as she clutched the arm of the chair.
“Alpha Lucas,” Wendy stated.
“Oh,” Leslie mellowed down, and her shoulders slacked at the mention of his name.
She opened her mouth to speak, but she was cut off.
“Let's talk about something else” Wendy suggested.
Like what? Nothing was of interest to her right now. Leslie wanted to know more about whatever had caused her to faint. She needed more.
She clenched her hand at the thought.
“Do you want to be an enforcer?”
Leslie looked up, surprised at the question, “I haven't really thought about that.”
“Oh,” Wendy replied with a disappointed tone.
