Chapter 14 The Companies new boss?

                Samantha POV

                 I was left in complete and udder shock. How could the same couple I met at the docks be the King and Queen of the werewolves. How is it that they can be so cruel to Asher? We were currently standing in my father’s office and Asher’s mom, who’s name is Jamie, is yelling at him for making me feel so little. I look over to father and Asher’s dad, who wants me to call him Rowen, for help but the two of them look just as scared. I mean yes she is scary but come on we have made up and he feels like s**t as it is.

                The longer this goes on the more pissed off I get till I let out a growl when she makes a comment about him being a terrible mate. Asher, dad, Cody and Rowen all hear it. Asher sees me over his mothers head and his eyes go wide.

“Sam baby calm down, you cannot snap. Dad get mom out of here this wont be pretty if you don’t.” Asher tells Rowen and I try and calm down but for some reason I cannot do it.

“I am not done talking to you Asher, I raised you better than this and don’t you walk away from me.” I had my eyes closed trying to calm down until I feel Asher’s hands on my shoulders.

I open them up again and I hear a gasp come from Jamie.

“Dear what happened to your eyes?” She asked me. But I cannot answer.

‘I know she may be our mate’s mother but dammit I want to rip her to shreds’ Tine tells me.

“This happened one other time mother, and she took me and Xander down in only a few minutes. Just head down to the car and we will meet you down there I promise.” He tells his mother while hugging me and turning me around so I cannot see her.

“I am sorry Sam I didn’t mean to make you mad I promise, I just think he is being a bad mate” she whimpers out and I snap.

“YOU INSULTED MY MATE” I yell causing everyone to shrink as I am shaking with anger.

“DAD GET HER OUT OF HERE NOW” Asher yells at his dad and he does as he was told.

“I am so sorry Sam I really am” his mother cried as they leave and I continue to shake.

“Samantha look at me.” This time it was Xander talking. I could tell by how low his voice had dropped.

“Mi Amor she did not mean what she said. She is our mother and she was only trying to set us straight. We realize were we went wrong and she is only trying to protect you. They see you as a daughter and only want your best.” He tells me but I am still mad. I may not be shaking but I can tell from the look on everyone’s face my eyes are still silver.

“Mark and Cody can you leave us for a few moments. We will be down soon. Just go tell mom that she is fine and will not hate her because if I know my mother she is crying thinking that Sam hates her.” He tells dad and I hear the door shut. Only seconds later I feel his lips on mine and I am immediately distracted from what I was mad about. I close my eyes and lean into the kiss as I rap my arms around his neck. He shifts his hands under my butt and taps on the back of my thighs. I jump up wrapping my legs around his waist and he pushes me into the wall and deepens our kiss. I moan the minute my back hits the wall and I feel him harden under me. He breaks the kiss and moves his lips down my jawline to my neck and begins to suckle on it lightly. He pulls away to look at me and I groan in frustration at the fact the he stopped.

“Well I think I have found a way to calm you down fast” he says with a laugh lightly kissing my nose.

“No fair, why did you stop?” I ask whining a little as I pout at him.

“As much as Xander and I want nothing more than to take you to our room and continue what he just started, we have a school meeting to get to my love. And my mother is extremely worried about you.” He lets me hop down off of him as we make our way to the door.

“I don’t know what came over me. She insulted you and I lost it again. Why does this keep happening to me?” I ask him as we make our way out of the office and head to the cars. I feel terrible and I need to apologize. She must really hate me.

We walk outside hand in hand and before I could even get 2 words out of my mouth, I am tackled by Jamie as she is crying.

“I am so sorry I didn’t mean to make you mad. I was mad at Asher for making you feel the way he did and as I have said many times we have raised him better.” She weeps in my arms.

“It’s okay Jamie I am so sorry I never should have snapped like I did. I have no clue why I did what I did either. I just love him so much and I hate anyone bad mouthing him but I just can’t seem to control my anger. Please don’t hate me.” Hugging me back just as tight we both let out a sigh.

“I could never hate you. You are going to make a wonderful queen and mother one day.” She just says as if it was no thought at all.

‘Did she just say mother?’ Tine asks me perking up and I laugh on the inside while turning red on the outside.

“Mom please stop, she has just excepted me as her mate and we need to be getting to the school. By the way dad how are we going to go about announcing this to people. There are quite a few humans there?” Asher asks his dad the question I know everyone is wondering.

“Oh do not worry just play along with what I am going to say son.” He says with a clap on his back.

“So who all is riding with who?” I ask.

“Well I think Mark, Blaine, Cody, Whitney, Eli and Kat can all ride in one of the SUVs and then Mom, Dad, Aaron, Raina, Reece and Drake can ride in the other one while you and I ride in your car.” Asher says. I had not noticed Kat had gotten there but then I notice something else.

‘Drake and Reece seem to be really close’ I think.

‘Well duh i***t look at there necks’ Tine tells me and I lose it.

“OMG Drake why did you not tell me” I yell and run at him giving him a hug causing both Reece and Asher to growl.

“Oh calm your tempers you over grown puppies” I snap at both making everyone but them laugh.

“Why didn’t you tell me sooner that you were Bi.”

“Because I have told no one and I know dad is going to disown me. However, Asher has offered me a place in the royal guards as your personal body guard so I have nothing to fear if I leave here.” He tells me with a smile.

“Now shall we get going?” Rain says placing her hand in Aarons hand and begins pulling him with her to the vehicles. We all load up and head to the school. When we pulled up, everyone that was heading out to the football field for the assembly, stops to look at who could be in the all black vehicles. We meet Principle Lance as well as Cheyenne, Mike and the twins at the front gate to the stadium. I notice there is a large stage in the middle of the field as we walk out to it. I hear chatter of people talking.

‘No doubt they are going on about what happened yesterday’ Tine tells me.

‘Yea that’s what I was worried about. I mean he had it coming though he has always been an asshole bully and someone needed to put him in his place.’ I tell her back.

We walk up onto the stage and the assembly begins.

“Thank you all for coming to day. We are here to introduce a well-known security company who will begin using our school as a trial school for different security devises. Mister Denmark, the current CEO of the company is here today and he says he has a few announcements to make as well.” Principal Lance hands the microphone over to Rowen and I have no clue where he will be going with this but something in my gut tells me it is big.

“Good day to you all. My name is Rowen Denmark and I am a third generation CEO to Denmark Security. I am here today for a few reasons. To start with I want to meet the students and staff that my son and some of the other students of my employees will be attending with this year. Second, I want to see where my technology will be placed and hear what some of the opinions on needs are as well. And lastly,” he pauses for a lasting effect as I feel Asher’s hand squeeze mine.

“get ready and play along please” he whispers lightly and I squeeze is hand back in response.

“I am here to announce my companies successors as well as their co-partners in the roles they will play. My CEO position will Go to my son Asher Denmark when he turns 18 and his co-partner will be my future daughter-in-law as well as his fiancée Samantha Rider.” He waves a hand to us and as we walk forward, I hear the gasps in astonishment. Some people are only just remembering me from the fight yesterday and others, especially those who are in the pack, are trying to find out if this is an arrangement to get rid of me. I can hear the whispers in the air and my body tenses since all eyes are on us, but not for long as Rowen begins again.

“My second in command of COO will be passed on from my current COO Aaron Mathews and Riana Denmark to his brother Reece Mathews and his good friend Drake Whitefoot. Aaron and Riana will then move to finance after the transition is complete.” He says as the other four walk up on stage as well. I look out at the crowd of students, parents and faculty and already know this will be the talk of this little town for days to come. I also notice that the local new station seem to be here too.

‘Great now my face will be plastered all over the 4-states area.’ I think.

‘Is that a bad thing?’ Tine asks me.

‘Well lets just say Denmark security is a big name and is worldly known so I am going from invisible to well known as well. Not really looking forward to it.’ I tell her.

After rounds of questions about why he is here and what the new equipment is and what it will do we finish up with pictures and goodbyes before heading back to the pack house for our pack meeting with everyone.

“Can I be honest with you Asher?” I ask

“Of course why wouldn’t you be love, you can tell me anything.” He says back watching the road ahead of us.

“I’m a little worried about all the attention we will be getting and the fact that your dad said we are engaged!?” I say a little louder then I wanted to.

“I know trust me I flipped out on him as soon as he told me that he was going to say that. That was the reason I told you to just play along. Please do not be mad at him baby, he had to have some reason for you to be taking over mothers job and that was the easiest way to do it.” He says slowing down as we turn down the long road heading to the house.

“That’s not the point. I mean I know we are mates but dammit we just started dating so to speak, and I know that we will be together but saying we will be married and slapping a title on it just makes me feel odd.” I say with a sigh and step out of the car. I don’t get far before I feel Asher’s arms around me, putting his nose in my neck and breathing in making me calm down right away.

“I did not ask you to marry me yet and I plan on doing that the right way when we are ready for it. I am not pushing you into anything at all.” I turn and give him a kiss on the cheek and we head to our room to get ready.

Here at the pack house we have a room that has a double bath attached to it. As I enter the room I grab my new clothing that I bought last night and head into the bathroom to take a shower. As I get out and switch with Asher there is a knock on my door and when I open it I am met by a surprise. I see Whitney, Kat, Dawn, Liea and Rain. They all come into the room in a hurry already ready for the party and begin to work on my hair and make-up. Not that I cant do it for myself but they insist that since I am the next Queen Luna I need to be treated as such.

Whitney does my hair with a braid in the front that sets across my forehead and leaves the rest to tumble down my back in lose curls. Dawn, Liea and Kat do my make up in all-natural tones but add a bit of navy blue to my eyes. Raina comes over and hands me a box and tells me to open it.

“What is this Rain my birthday isn’t for another 2 weeks?” I ask her.

“Just open it.” She says bouncing up and down really fast. As I open it, I see three things. A pair of long teardrop style earrings that hang with multiple diamond’s. A diamond necklace with a pendent of the royal crest on it and lastly a beautiful rose gold tiara. I stare at them and look up at Rain who is bouncing up and down still.

“I cannot accept these, they are way too fancy for tonight.” I tell her trying to hand them back but with no avail.

“Nonsense. They are a family heirloom that is passed on to the mates of the males but mother had given them to me to give to Asher’s mate if anything would have happened to her. It was also supposed to be a way for us to bond but we already seem to get along so there isn’t much left to do other than hand them off to you.” She says with tears in her eyes.

“Thank you so much” I tell her with a hug. We hear a knock on the door and Asher walks into the walk-in closet where we had been.

“May I put them on for you?” he ask me and I nod as I turn red.

He places the necklace on my neck from behind and I feel his hands brush lightly over my shoulder. I put the earrings in and he walks in front to place the tiara on my head letting it sit on the braid Whitney had made as if she knew I would need it.

“You Mi Amor look like a true princess.” He gives me a kiss on the brow and offers me his arm.

“Are we ready to head down stairs so you can formally meet everyone as my mate and the future Queen Luna?” he asks.

“As ready as I ever will be.” I say and we head down the stairs. Time to see what everyone will do.

‘Don’t forget Cody and your dad are handing down punishment tonight on Macy’ Tine reminds me.

Great I did not want to deal with her tonight but I guess we have no choice…..
