Before the celebrations begin

Sia - POV I slept the whole day, and when I woke up in the evening, I realized I had been sleeping in a bed rather than on a sofa. I saw the empty side next to the bed. I sighed in relief that Alpha Xavier had not slept in the same bed as me. “Ms. Sia, are you experiencing any pain or discomfort?” Liza, the Maid, returned in the evening. “I’m alright, Liza, don’t be too concerned.” She helped me get some food to eat, and I smiled at her. I felt like a royal enslaved person who was given delicious food to eat but had no control over the freedom of her life. “Ms, you seemed depressed?” I gazed at her, puzzled, wondering whether she saw my concern. “I’ve heard the news from other Luna Wing maids, and I’m sure you’ve heard the news as well that it’s difficult for you.” Liza believes I have a wolf who can hear things from a distance, but I don’t. “Please clarify, Liza?” I said. “White moon slaves who served as servants for Luna were slaughtered because she was upset with Alpha spending time with you.” Liza’s words worried me; now I know Maura must be dying to discover the identity of the new lady occupying Alpha Xavier’s bedroom. Since last night, Alpha has placed security next to his bedroom, and only Liza may enter the space. “Let us get you ready like royalty, Alph’s instructions,” Liza said. Although I wore a cheerful face on the outside, I couldn’t shake the feeling that Luna Maura would look for me in the festivities tonight, and as soon as she saw me, she would rip me to shreds. I shouldn’t have been a novice and told Alpha Xavier about Maura’s snooping. He would have given me a different room if I had kept my mouth shut. I regret making such a stupid move. “Miss Sia, your bath is ready, and the face masks to shine on your beauty,” Liza said. I entered the bathroom. The aroma of lavender and a glass of wine sat next to the small table; this environment helped calm me down. The warm water helped my tight muscles relax, and I could see that the markings on my body were fading due to the medication and ointment the doctor prescribed for me. I sipped my wine. After taking a soothing bath, I saw Liza had removed the dress, although she was not in the room. After that, I went to the closet to fetch some lingerie; I heard footsteps and turned around to see Alpha Xavier. I couldn’t help but stifle a gasp as I stumbled and hit my head on the cabinet on the door. “Ouch.” I hissed. Alpha Xavier approached me. I put my hand out to stop him from approaching me. But he came close to checking on my forehead. “Let me see if you hit it hard. If so, I don’t want you to lose your insanity.” I rolled my eyes at his words as he smirked. There is a little tingling sensation when his hand touches my forehead, and a slight bump can be felt. “Let me get Ice for you.” What the heck is Alpha giving me an ice pack for a tiny bump? That’s weird. I never expected that. Liza entered the room. “Get an Ice Pack,” stated Alpha Xavier. Liza dashed out of the room. Alpha Xavier’s hands returned to my brow, and I swatted his hands away from me. It conjures images of gloomy evenings alone in prison, with the guards’ grimy hands hovering over my body. Alpha Xavier’s stare met mine, and he stepped back, sensing my uneasiness. Liza gave me an ice pack once the bump subsided; I changed my clothes in the washroom and walked back. “Come back later to help Sia get ready.” Alpha Xavier spoke to Liza as she departed, and I saw Alpha Xavier go to the Wardrobe first. Then, finally, Alpha Xavier went to shower. And I sighed in relief as his presence made breathing difficult for me. I didn’t turn around when I heard him get out of the shower. “Sia…” I turned to face Alpha when he called. The way the water dripped ran down his chiseled abs, and his hair looked wet made him appear more handsome than ever, and the towel hung so low. At sight, I froze. I could see a sneer on Alpha Xavier’s face as I realized he had caught me gazing at him. “Yes, Alpha,” I said, my cheeks hot. As he got closer, I came to a complete halt, and his heated gaze made me dizzy.
