Rogue Ruse

Alpha Xavier - POV I walked up to the scene and saw Kaiz helping Maura, who had been bleeding from the forehead and her left leg wounded. And when she saw me, she smiled happily, but I knew it was an act, since other people were observing us, and I knew Maura was trying to show others that she liked me even though I knew it wasn’t the truth. “Explain what happened.” I inquired while holding Maura in my arms to demonstrate that we care for one another, but the truth is that I don’t give a damn. “I went to examine the area with Jan since she thought something was wrong, and I encountered a Rouge she-wolf, and we battled, and I killed them, so they didn’t attack our pack anymore.” Hearing the explanation, all the members praised her, and I cursed since I knew she didn’t kill the rogues, but the remaining White moon enslaved people who worked for Maura and attempted to escape from the pack were killed. Kaiz had mind-linked me to the story before I arrived at the scene, and I took her to the hospital, where the doctor cleaned the wounds. I walked away from her to join Sia for breakfast since I didn’t want to see or be near the b***h Maura after last night’s aggressive confrontation. “This slave of the white moon pack, you seem to care about her.” Maura’s voice sounded laced with venom, and I gave her a stern look. “I never see you exhibit love and care for me, yet when a slave becomes sick, you spend the whole night with a slave…Infirmary. When I was waiting for you in my chamber, desperate for your affection.” She screamed in hatred and pushed the Doctor away from her, who cleaned her wounds. “Get out,” she growled at the Doctor, who immediately left the room. “You are such a needy b*tch,” I grumbled, and she sneered at my insults. “Come on, Xav, don’t be a jerk,” Maura called. I stormed out of there and away from this woman. “You know I slaughtered the White Moon slaves to vent my rage on them as you spent your night with that slave.” I came to a stop, so this b***h murdered them on purpose. “Xavier, come back here.” She shouted as I finally managed to get some space between us, and Kaiz heard everything. He glanced at my face, which was filled with anger. “Shouldn’t we just put an end to her already?” I hissed. As we made our way to the Packhouse, Kaiz let out a long sigh. “You are aware of why we can not punish Maura. I’m afraid about how things will turn out when the former Luna returns from his vacation to Paris.” Kaiz expressed his concern. “When is she coming back?” Kaiz checked his phone and gave me the schedule. In one week, my mother will be returning, and while I don’t show it, I’m already dreading the possibility that the issue may rear its ugly head again if she gets involved. “Alpha…” Nas approached me, and I knew why. Did you take care of the prisoner?” Nas gave the nod. “Why don’t you bring that other white moon slave you brought… Sia wanted to meet her.” When I brought it up, Nas looked at me, and I could sense emotion in his eyes, which was unusual since he often didn’t care about anybody or anything. However, his attitude was similar to mine. “I shall get her this afternoon, Alpha.” “As for tomorrow’s moon celebration, how are things progressing?” I inquired before going to check on Sia. “It’s coming together, but I’m concerned Luna will throw obstacles in the way of tomorrow’s festivities,” Nas responded. “Don’t give that attention-seeking ***** any of your time; all she wants is attention,” I grumbled in contempt at her. I want to divorce Maura, but my mother is the main reason I can’t, as the Wolf coven interferes with my pack after the battle too much. “We don’t give her two penny s**t. f**k, yet she continues bugging me.” Nas snarled, and I burst out laughing at his complaining. “Anyway, Kaiz, let Maura know she’ll be making an Opening speech to the Pack during the festivals.” Kaiz and Nas gave me a puzzled look, but the point is that I will be bringing Sia with me to the party that will be held tomorrow night. I will make Maura look foolish in front of the pack and leave her alone at the festival. “I appreciate the concept and despise that chick and her she-wolf.” My wolf, Aspen, sneered. “Why am I forced to communicate with her all the time?” Kaiz grumbled angrily, and Nas sighed. I moved away from them, not wanting to keep Sia waiting, and entered to find Sia waiting for me and the breakfast still warm on the table. “You were anticipating my arrival.” My speech roused her from her trance, and I could see a tear welling up in one of her eyes. She hastily covered up her feelings as if they did not exist, and I knew she was in so much agony because of my pack and me. She motions for me to sit and eat breakfast with her, but her silence is painful, and she cannot talk to or trust anybody. “I talked with Nas, and your buddy will come this afternoon to meet you.” Her expressionless face erupted into a cheerful grin, which I admired. “Xavier, don’t become attached to anything since you know what suffering they bring.” Aspen’s remarks were accurate, leaving me with a valuable lesson. “What am I expected to do in exchange for this favor you did to me?” she asked. Her emerald looked at him with a questioning glance. Just looking at her makes me want to reach out and touch her, “Are you able to provide me with what I require?” Her face frowned at my raspy voice. “Alpha, I need time to give you myself “ I sighed at her response. I strode through the room without answering her. I turned over my shoulder to look again at Sia, who was looking back at me. “Just let the maid know what you need so she can get it for you,” I spoke to Sia before I left her alone, even though I didn’t want to.
