COLD MURDER.
I couldn’t get any sleep.
I had to summon Elina, my personal maid, to get me a glass of warm milk to make me sleep after tossing myself around my bed for hours.
I turned to the other side of my bed for the eighth time, wondering what the heck was happening.
“Ugh.” I groaned as I got up from the bed and took off the strands of my rough, white hair from my mouth and looked around me for a second.
I sighed and wished I knew what was going on with me and the reason I couldn’t sleep, no matter how hard I tried.
Maybe I should go meet Macy, my second maid.
She would know what is wrong with me and perhaps keep me company so I could sleep properly.
This is the 21st century. I should be able to put myself to sleep. I’m not a baby and yet, I didn’t want to think about that right now.
However, come to think of it, why were the clan and the realms so quiet?
Normally at night, there will be voices, music, people moving all over the place, mostly in their wolf form and many things happening, but this was different, and I wondered why.
The silence frightened me. I needed to go see what was going on.
I got out of bed to call on my bodyguards, who were always guarding my door, but there were nowhere to be found.
“Elina.” I called out. “Macy.” My voice echoed in the hallway.
I got out of my room barefooted, stepping on the cold floor, away from the white fluffy rug in my room.
I was a little scared as I walked on my white nightgown and noticed the air was chilly than usual.
What was going on here? Was this some sort of trick, surprise, or something?
I plodded down the golden hallway to go see what was happening, but as I got closer to my father’s chambers.
I heard muffling sounds.
What is happening right now? Was my father banging some of his mistresses or the maids again?
I opened the door to my father’s chambers and froze.
What I saw discomposed me.
And the next words I heard were, — “Throughout the earth, the heavens, the realms and the clans, I alone am the honored one. I am the chosen one. I am the crown and the king of the Obsidian Pack.” He muttered in a calming, prideful tone.
His face was as expressionless as an obelisk.
And I was in extreme shock.
He gave a low chuckle. “I didn’t know that the feelings of love, trust, attachments, bonds, friendships were such a fragile thing. They were so hard to create but easy to crack. All it took was a moment for everything to be broken into pieces like puzzles.”
Blood was all over my father’s chambers. Splattered on the windows and curtains. Including the floor as it flowed towards me like a pool.
The chambers and every furniture and items in here were all covered in blood.
Everyone in the palace seemed to be ripped apart into a thousand pieces and my parent’s heads were half torn apart from each other.
How did most of the people in the palace gather in this chamber? Why were all of them brutally murdered?
My hands, my feet and my body shivered with my eyes widened in horror. I felt nauseous and puked onto the floor with my knees touching its warm blood.
I panted and stared at the young man who hung his leg at the top of my father’s head after puking out all the milk I drank, including my food.
His muscular broadened-shoulder, his tattooed back was facing me with his light transparent white long sleeve on.
His white hair suddenly grew past his waist.
Blood heavily soaked his hands as it dripped from his long, sharp black claws onto the spot he was standing on.
His wounded legs, horribly buttered as he stood and as soon as he turned to me with a devilish smile.
My heart sank at his transformation.
His red eyes glowed as his gaze fell on me.
The black devilish symbolic tattoo on his left eye, which was assumed to be drawn in between his left eye, was nearly covering half of his face.
It is called the Heavenly’s eye.
A mystical third eye, which represents a radiant glow with dark magic.
He was six feet tall and his beautiful green eyes showed, covering his red eyes as if it never existed.
As he reversed his face in my direction.
Two extra eyes reopened at the upper part of his right eye and underneath his right eye were shining brightly, making the image of the heaven’s eye to fade into nothing.
As we stared at each other for a few minutes, it hit me.
I recognized his scent. I can never forget his scent.
My heart was beating at a faster rate. My talons were sprouting out of my fingers.
My bones were aching and my body seemed like it was on fire.
My breath was out of air, which made me pant, making my strength drain out of my legs when I stood up.
My knees got weak and fell to the floor again. I couldn’t stand properly and my eyes were blurry.
I looked up at his smirking face as he laughed a little.
His laughter.
His smile.
That beautiful face.
Pink lips which were as tasty as ripe peaches on summer days.
His scent was as captivating as a blooming garden of jasmine on a warm summer evening.
He was the only Alpha who could make me succumb to my knees before him.
I instantly knew who he was.
Liam.
How? What happened and why was he here?
“Liam,” I whispered and screamed so loud the windows cracked and the building vibrated.
“Hello Peach.” He gently called out to me.
Peach.
He gave me that name as a kid, because my favorite fruit was peach.
‘WHO ARE YOU?!’ I cried out.
I have never seen him in this form before, and this is not Liam.
He wasn’t the one.
Liam is not a monster.
‘What a pleasant question?’ His voice was a little deep as he chuckled.
He was terrifying, like a demon.
My heart was pounding so fast at my throat, I could not breathe properly.
I wish I could just die, and this monster in front of me was someone else and not Liam.
“What is your name? What did you do to Liam to make him like this?”
He laughed, and the color of his eyes changed into the green eyes of a reptile. “Oh, I have so many names, Aurora.”
No, he wasn’t Liam. I don’t want to believe this.
“I am called Demonata for a reason, Peach.”
I whispered with tears rushing down my cheeks. “What have you done?!”
I felt so much anger and bitterness at what he had done.
"How dare you do this to them, Liam?"
