Chapter 5: I Don't Want To Stay Here!

1182 Words
The wolf stared at Herm with a loathful gaze. It growls as its injured body continues to bleed while maintaining its gaze at Herm. Now the skeleton’s sword was stuck into the wolf's mouth after using it to save himself. Herm grinned at the wolf which infuriated the beast even more. The red fur wolf had no idea that Herm had already known how to defeat him.    Herm mustered his remaining strength and used his sword stuck in the wolf's mouth to end the battle. Herm dashed forward while his sword was grabbed by the beast. The sword sliced through the monster's jaw cutting the creature in half. Rein witnessed the gruesome sight of how Herm killed the beast. “Why do I feel glad I wasn't attacked by Herm when we first met. How the f**k did he even do that his f*****g bones and no muscles." When Rein muttered those words a new pop-up notification appeared in his line of sight. Giving information about the level up of his party after defeating a higher-level monster. Rein reads the pop-up notification silently. Congratulations! All members of the party have leveled up by one. Member level sharing is still locked. So you cannot see the current skills, level, and status of your party. Also, it may affect the intelligence of your party. They might become smarter or more stupid. Watching how low his status in this new incarnation made him want to complain to the Gods. But he remembered how a piece of debris fell when he bad-mouthed the creators of this world. Then it didn't help Rein that his party had a chance to become stupid when they level up.   “Why do I have to feel the pain this way, I'm already a skeleton, and yet I can feel pain. But I am not the only one who should suffer." Rein then dramatically drops to his knees in a slow-motion style after muttering those words to himself.   Then the two skeletons gazed at Rein moving abnormally. While these two skeletons move normally. Lonor pointed his right index finger near his skull and moved it in a circular motion. Signaling that Rein had some screws loose. Herm on the other hand signals to Lonor that they don't even have brains.   Rein went to the glowing moss and poured its extracts near his eyes. Creating a fake glowing tear as he put the points he earned on his status once again prioritizing his most important status to a mage. The moss part...He did this because Rein wanted to get sympathy from his followers. But the undead followers agreed that their boss had a few screws loose after doing such an unnecessary move. They followed the broken railways of the mine shaft hoping that it would lead to the exit of this unknown place. They walked for hours until they saw a strange source of light not created by the luminescent moss.  Rein smiled witnessing the light source and without hesitation, they dash forward exiting the mineshaft. Upon exiting the group laid their eyes upon a lush wilderness of different flora. Rein looks behind and gazes at the opening where they exited. He saw a cave that seems to have been artificially made.  Rein gazes back at his followers. Upon seeing them he saw that both of his followers had a bunch of damaged and rusting equipment. Both of them were even naked as none wore any piece of armor. Rein then realized something upon gazing at this scene. “Oh, God! I forgot that they were a bunch of skeletons. One the weakest kind in every RPG game. Thinking how fragile we are, the wind might even blow us away with ease. How the heck am I gonna continue surviving this world. If I'm weak and my party's weak.`` Rein drops to the ground and gazes at the glaring sun. There he closed his eyes causing the green glow inside his empty eye socket to disappear. He then spoke unto himself, with a voice full of disappointment. “I want to go straight to the afterlife. This place is nothing but a pain in my ass. I mean my hips wait if I'm a skeleton. Are there still called hips? Why is it bothering me now? I should have listened to my anatomy teacher."  Rein suddenly felt someone touch his shoulder. He looked at the guy who grabbed him and saw Herm staring at him, the skeleton blocked the sun with his skull. Rein didn't know what was going on so he asked the undead. “What do you want?" Using sign language Herm tells Rein that they should keep moving. Like before even without a knowledge of sign language Rein was able to understand what Herm was trying to tell him. Rein raised his torso and told Herm.  “No! I'm not going anywhere, this place is a curse, not a blessing. I've been lied to by the web novels, anime, comics, and books I've read. You don't get any superpowers that would make you overpower. What you get is a level one character that has to grind his butt off. So I am planning to die of starvation here rather than continuing playing this crappy game!" Herm used his sign language to reply. “Master, this is not a game, this is real life. If you die you die. Also, you can't die from starvation, you are undead, and an undead doesn't need food." ”I don't care, we're already dead! I am going to choose the afterlife rather than being a weak undead skeleton. Rein replied to Herm.  “I don't get what you are saying, master. But if you believe that we skeletons are weak. Then you didn’t take the story when you opened the chest. About the undead in this world who cast fear to the hearts of his enemy." Herm told Rein using sign language. “I don't give a single damn about that lore…Wait where is this going?." “Master, what if I told you that powerful being started as a weak undead skeleton-like us." Rein suddenly had shown interest after being told by Herm.
