The next morning, Adelaide tried to adapt to her new routine. She was not very motivated to do anything, she was exhausted, emotionally drained and had too many cumbersome burdens weighing her down mentally. After her bath, Opia was happy to present her with a new wardrobe of glamorous, elegant gowns and luxurious shoes to fill her closet.
She also took her to the storage unit where various decorations were kept and she had to choose a few pieces to give the bedroom a bit of her touch. Adelaide all the while only feigned enthusiasm and interest, she had gotten quite good at molding her character to suit her circumstances due to her training, but pretending was still exhausting and unnecessary punishment on the mind.
