I wasn"t the only one less than convinced by Yngvildr"s expression of shock and surprise. And she could tell. She gestured to the baskets at her feet. "I was collecting spring plants. It"s what I do every year after the Dísablót ends. I missed two days already, and you didn"t seem to need me…" No one answered her, and she trailed off uncertainly. She looked like she was about to cry. "We searched the entire meadow. There was no sign of you," Nilda told her, her voice hard. "I searched the hills and the woods," Thorfinna said. "Didn"t see you." "I was at the top of the waterfalls," Yngvildr said. Then she knelt down beside her basket. "Look, I"ll show you. See these mosses? They grow on the south-most waterfall, on the rocks where the sun doesn"t reach. Not down here, but up at the top
