9 Past: Claiming his mate.

2185 Words
Mystic stared up at the blue sky. The clouds were scattered in wispy white strips across the blue sky. Mae played a few paces away, leaving her to her thoughts. She couldn’t stop thinking about last night. How it had felt to be with him. To have him touch her and kiss her…she blushed as her body flamed at the thought of his lips on her skin. It was so dreamlike it felt almost unreal. “Oren,” Mae said as she came to stand next to her. She was looking at the line of trees. Mystic sat up and looked at Kalan’s…she didn’t exactly know what he was to him. Kalan didn’t talk much about him last night. Mystic blushed as she remembered that they didn’t talk much. They were busy with other things. “There you are,” he said as he came to a stop in front of them. Mae smiled up at him. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” “Why?” she asked. Mystic pulled her to her side as she got to her feet. “Kalan was worried about your sister when he didn’t see her in the main house,” he said, staring at her as if she had done something wrong. “I…” Mystic began to say, but Mae interrupted her. “They are mates now, right? That’s why he was worried about her,” she said, looking at Oren to confirm what she was saying. Mystic tugged on her sister’s hand, sometimes she said things without thinking. “Yes, and I think it’s only going to get worse,” he said in a serious tone. Mystic felt like there was something he was not saying. Maybe he didn’t like the fact that she was involved with the prince like she knew everyone would be. “Tell him to stop worrying about me. I’m fine,” she said and then dragged Mae away. They walked back to the house. She’s been gone for too long anyway. Gwen was probably looking for her. They had to prepare lunch. Mae looked over her shoulder at Oren. “Stop looking at him,” she reprimanded her. Mae made a huffing sound, and then faced forward. “Mates worry about each other,” she said out of nowhere as they walked through the line of trees. “They can’t help it. I know, I would worry about my mate if I didn’t see him all day. I would want him to worry about me too. It’s the way it should be.” “Okay, Mae,” Mystic said with a sigh. She hoped that her sister would never lose her innocent view of mates. Right now, she didn’t understand that some situations were beyond complicated, regardless of whether someone was your mate or not. Mystic looked over her shoulder at Oren. He was a few paces from them, closer than she thought he would be. “May I have a word with you?” he asked. Mystic turned to her sister. “I’ll be in the house. Don’t take too long,” she said as she walked towards the main house. Mystic turned to Oren. “I know you’re not happy about what’s happening between me and Kalan. But I tried to fight it…to push him away…” “ I know you did. And it’s not that,” he said, looking down at his feet. “I know you both tried. But fate seems to have other ideas. I’m just concerned about him. He’s never been this reckless in his life,” Oren stepped close to her. “No one knows about what he turns into. He kept that side of himself a secret until he came here. Before you and your sister, me and his father are the only two people who’ve seen Ruhuikar. Kalan was very careful not to reveal himself. But with you I am afraid he won’t care, especially if something happens to you.” “I…” Mystic said, not sure why he was telling her this. “I don’t understand.” “I know,” Oren said with a sigh. He looked so frustrated and worried. Mystic didn’t know what he wanted her to do. “I can’t believe I’m even suggesting this,” he stared at her for a few minutes, not saying anything. “What?” “Let him claim you,” he said, his eyes tense. “What?” “What happens when a werewolf male can’t claim his mate?” “But he…” “He’s a half werewolf, half fairy hybrid. Traits of both species are within him. They might war with each other for dominance sometimes, but he has them. What happens when a werewolf male can’t claim his mate?” he asked her again. Mystic closed her eyes. “He’s been waiting for you for days now. He might look calm and level headed on the outside, but inside…” he trailed off. Mystic opened her eyes, getting what he was talking about. “I am afraid, the longer you keep him waiting the more that frustration will build inside him. And he might expose himself to the whole fairy kingdom… and that can’t happen. Not if he’s to be the future king.” “I have to go,” Mystic said, leaving him standing there. She went to the kitchen and got to work. Gwen gave her a lethal look but said nothing. Mystic worked quickly, and got lunch ready. Once she was done, she went to her tiny room. Mae tried to follow her there. But she needed a moment alone. Her heart was slamming so hard against her rips. She didn’t know whether it was from excitement or anxiety at what Oren told her. She walked into the room and slammed the door shut. She leaned her head against the door trying to figure out her feelings. She should be offended that he would suggest such a thing to her. But her body shook at the thought of him claiming her. Now that Oren had put that thought in her mind, she couldn’t stop thinking about it. Last night it felt like it was too soon, like things between them were moving at a fast pace that was scaring even her. Could this be fate? It had to be, otherwise it wouldn’t feel so right. Mystic covered her face with her hands as a blush heated her cheeks. Was she going to let him claim her? If it will help him keep his secret, yes. He was her mate. She would do anything for him, even offer herself to him body and soul. She thought about Lanarrie and Aria. They would be shocked if they found out that she was involved with their fairy prince. With the way they hated werewolves, they might even hurt her. But protecting Kalan’s secret was far more important than what they would do to her. That evening, Mystic finished cooking dinner, and set the table for everyone. She saw Kalan for a few seconds as he came to dinner with Oren. He looked at her with black, possessive eyes and she knew she was staring at Ruhuikar at that moment - right there in the kitchen. He might not have been completely changed, but he was more present in him. And Gwen was right there with her. Mystic held the gasp that formed in her throat. Oren was right. He was reckless where she was concerned. But she wondered if claiming her wouldn’t make the situation worse. She was glad that Lanarrie did not require her presence after she served them dinner. She stayed in the kitchen long enough for her and Mae to have their dinner, then they made their way to their room. They took their bath in the outside bathroom, and went to bed. “Are you going to see your mate tonight?” Mae asked as she lay next to her. Mystic pulled the covers to her chest. “If he comes again, I will. But I won’t leave before your nightmare comes and goes,” she promised. Mae nodded, and closed her eyes. As if on cue, a few minutes later, she sensed him outside. He stood there in the dark like a lone sentinel protecting them from the evils of the world. Mystic stared down at her sister. She prayed that one day she would find someone who would protect her from her nightmares. Mystic held her through her nightmare, and made sure that she was settled after she woke up. Mae stared at her as she got out of bed. “One day I’ll go find my mate. He’ll come to me in the night like yours does. We’ll stay awake all night watching the moon, and counting the stars,” she said dreamily. Mystic leaned down and kissed her cheek. “Sweet dreams, I hope he finds you too,” she said and walked to the door. “Will you be alright?” she asked, just in case. “Go. Don’t keep him waiting for too long,” she said. She turned away from her, falling right back to sleep. Mystic opened the door and walked to Kalan. Like last night, the moon was bright, creating that dreamlike atmosphere. Kalan took her hand, and they walked towards the guesthouse. Mystic didn’t fight him this time. They walked around the house, and he helped her through the window. “This feels like we’re doing something wrong,” Mystic said, looking around the room. “We’re not. I’m only protecting you. You seemed wary of everyone knowing about us,” he said, taking her hand, and walking her to the bed. He stopped and stared down at her. “I am. I don’t think they’ll like it. You’re their fairy prince and I am…” “Shhhh...” he said, placing a finger to her lips. “It doesn’t matter what I am or what you are. You are my mate. We are destined to be together, that’s all that matters.” He removed his finger from her lips, and replaced it with his lips. Mystic moaned as he kissed her. He picked her up and lay her down on the bed. She stared up at him, as he hovered over her. Desire pulsed through her veins. He could see desire burning in his eyes. “I want to make you mine so badly I ache with it.” “Why don’t you?” Mystic asked. She reached up, and tunnelled her hands beneath his shirt. He groaned as she touched his skin. “Claim me,” she whispered, pulling him closer to her. Kalan pulled back and stared at her. “Last night…” Mystic shook her head before he could finish. “I want it now. Make me yours completely,” she said. “I’m ready.” As if her words unleashed something deep inside him, Kalan took her lips in a searing kiss, that made her arch off the bed. He kissed her hard and deep. His hands roamed her body, pulling her clothes off, until she lay beneath him naked. He stared down at her, taking her in. Mystic felt a little shy as his eyes focused on her p***y. “I want to taste you,” he said, running his hand along her right thigh. He touched her there – a feather light touch that made her crave more. She whimpered as he did it again. And then he leaned in. She could feel his breath wash over her folds. She shivered feeling like she was going to fall apart. “Just a little taste,” he said. He used his thumbs to open her up for him. His eyes focused hard on her p***y, causing little bombs of pleasure mingled with desire to explode all over her skin. Mystic clutched the sheets, and clenched her jaw to keep herself from screaming as he flicked his tongue against her clit and rubbed along her folds with his thumbs. The dual sensations drove her out of her mind. She threw her head to the side, moaning as silently as she could. But she didn’t think she could be silent for long, not with the way he licked, sucked and flicked his tongue against her clit. Her p***y spasmed. And she could feel something coiling and tightening deep inside her. It felt like it was about to snap at any given moment. The more he sucked and licked, the more it coiled. Mystic twisted her hands in the sheets. “Kalan,” she moaned his name, spreading her thighs wider as the feeling intensified. And then she felt him there, pushing his tongue deep inside her. Mystic opened her mouth with a scream as the thing inside her finally snapped. The whole world turned white as searing pleasure flooded her veins. She turned her head and buried her face in Kalan's pillow, screaming her lungs out. She was falling apart. Her body trembled as she came hard.
