She said it so softly, I had to wonder if I had heard her correctly. “You love me?” I asked, feeling like a fool but needing proof. She smiled, “Yes, I love you,” she said, smiling shyly, as I pulled her back into my arms, “I love you,” I said as I held her tightly. I moved slightly, when her arms tightened around me, “Where are you going?” she asked.
“No where, baby. I am staying here with you,” I promised her. She smiled and snuggled in closer to my side. We sat there for a few moments just enjoying the fact that we were together.
