Chapter Sixteen ~April 2~ Lord Conway picked up Bel a little after three for her promised drive in the park. She wore her pretty, new carriage dress, which Tina had chosen for her. At the time, Bee had been certain they would never need a carriage dress, and she’d suggested a morning dress instead when Bel paid morning visits. Aunt Claire had insisted, however, and now Bel was very pleased she had. It was such a pretty pale green, which made her hazel eyes look much closer to that color than brown, and had deep green ribbons edging the décolletage and at the wrists. Her pelisse was a matching color, and her bonnet was outfitted with new green ribbons as well, making Bel feel carefree and happy. “You are like a breath of spring,” Lord Conway said, after helping her up into his phaeton.
