Victor P.O.V
All day, I was going insane. All day, I sat there, unable to concentrate on anything apart from Elizabeth. I attended to the usual pack business; morning meetings, morning assembly with the pups at our school, hunter debrief, warrior debrief, tracker meeting, blah blah blah. I was not interested; I was disengaged with the lot of it. I wasn’t interested in doing this all myself anymore, I wanted my Luna!
“Vic, what the hell is with you today?” I glanced over at Ash as he stood with me in my residence kitchen.
“What do you mean?” I scrunched my eyebrows together.
“Dude, today you were behaving like you didn’t give a s**t about what you were doing. You have to snap out of whatever this is.”
I turned to Ash and placed my hand on the countertop. I knew I could trust him. I knew I could confide in him and explain what was happening. I ran my hand through my hair and sighed.
“Ash, I met her.”
His eyes went wide and his mouth dropped open.
“What? Where? You haven’t been off pack grounds for a week? Is she in our pack?”
I turned away and let out another sigh.
“No. It’s complicated.”
I glanced at him, his eyes expecting more detail than that.
“She was the one the rogues were after the other night. I saw her right before I killed them. She was beautiful, Ash. I’ve never seen someone so dazzling!”
“Ahh. I see. Well, that explains a lot. Is she a rogue then?”
I looked at the tiled kitchen wall in front of me and studied it for an answer.
“I don’t know.”
A silence hung in the air. I was definitely going to have to ask Elizabeth more about this when I saw her later. I knew she had stayed close all day. I could sense her, so I knew she would be back.
“Well big bro, you need to sort one or the other out. We have Alpha Marcus visiting next week and we can’t have your head all over the place. If she is a rogue, you need to consider what that will look like to everyone else in the pack.” Ash made his way out of my kitchen before turning back towards me.
“I’m looking forward to meeting her.” He winked at me, and a low growl rumbled in my chest. He just laughed and shut the door.
Rogues were frowned upon within wolf packs. Not that packs don't accept them sometimes, but it was usually younger wolves that had been orphaned or had run away from another pack for a reason. These reasons were normally following abuse. I knew Elizabeth was different; she smelt good for one thing! But I knew that I would not reject her. She was mine and I was already hooked on her. I would have to find a way to make her stay.
I finished cooking my dinner and sat down at the dining table. It was getting dark, and I knew it wouldn’t be long before she would be here. I hurried and shovelled the food into my mouth quick enough to make me nearly choke on a few mouthfuls. The anticipation was eating me alive, and this food did nothing to satisfy my excitement. I just wanted her here with me again! Once I was done, I threw my plate into the sink and I went to my room.
As I entered the darkness, I heard a small light tap on the glass doors. My heart skipped a beat when I realised which beauty was stood at my door. I strode across the space between us and flung the doors wide. She stood there for a second, and I took advantage, drinking in the sight of her. The moonlight was casting its light on her just like the night before, and I noticed her eyes shining at me. My wolf was suddenly calm. He had been pacing all day waiting for this moment. I took her wrist gently and guided her inside my room.
“I…..”
I wanted to say it; tell her I missed her. Was that too forward? I didn’t want to scare her away after only just finding her. She had no reason other than me to be here, and I didn’t want to push her. She moved her hand from her side and placed it on my chest. I could feel the sparks and heat form, from her skin onto mine. Even with clothes between us, it radiated though. Before I could say anything, she uttered the words I wanted to say.
“I missed you.”
My heart swelled. I was relieved to know that she was feeling it too. A smile crept onto my face, and before I knew it, she was wearing one too. Her smile was dazzling! I didn’t think she could look more beautiful, and there I was, more hooked than before. I placed my hand over hers and asked her permission.
“Can I kiss you?”
She didn’t answer. She tiptoed up to level her face with mine and smashed her lips against me. They were so soft, and as sweet as a ripe apple. I wrapped my arm around her waist and placed a hand on the back of her head as I held her to me. I never wanted this moment to end. The electricity was flowing through my body at a rate that I had never experienced before and I didn’t want it to stop. I backed her up so that her back was pressed up against the closest wall, and pushed my pelvis into hers. I couldn’t resist her. My wolf was howling and panting. I let out low growls as her hands roamed my body, and then tangled into my hair. After what felt like only a moment, she pulled back within the only space I was allowing her and caught her breath.
“I don’t think I can leave again.” Her words had me let out a breath as I smiled again.
“Good. I can’t cope without you being here.”
