Ella's POV

“I still didn't know what to say, or how to react to what Damien has just said, so I nodded and squared my shoulders taking in a deep breath.

“ Say you have forgiven me," Damien asked but that was a question I couldn't answer.

“ I don't know if I can forgive you, Damien, trust you even though I knew it was foolish of me to do so, but we can co-exist.

“Even though I hate to acknowledge it, I need you, Damien, no one knows the island better than you," I said and Damien nodded his head.

“ I can live with that, there is still hope for you to forgive me," Damien said and I sighed heavily forcing a smile to my face

“ Well we should go, we need to find somewhere safe to sleep, we have a long journey ahead of us tomorrow," Damien let out.

“Are we still going to the other side as planned," I let out and Damien nodded?

“ Yes even though, if it is the first place the institute would go to, we have no other choice, that is our only ticket out of this place."Damien let out and the uncertainty settled deep within me.

“ Is there no other means of escape for us, the institute wouldn't stop looking for us, and if they know where we are going to then we are screwed," I let out with agitation in my voice?

“ relax we just have to get to the other side before they do," Damien let out as he comforted me with his words.

“ It took us a few hours to find where to rest for the night, and the awkwardness between Damien and I was still there, but like I said I knew we had to coexist.

I knew it was going to be hard to trust him again, but what could I do it was him and I against this island.

“ The morning came as quickly as the nightfall went away, Damien and I for the first time didn't wake up in each other's arms, it felt weird at first and there were some moments that I wanted to go to him for warmth but I quickly remembered his deceit and all I could feel was disdain towards him.

“ Good morning," Damien whispered towards me.

“ Good morning," I replied so uncannily.

“ We should get moving again, time is precious," Damien smiled as he helped me up the floor.

“ hope you slept well," he asked but I totally ignored him.

“Okay... I will take that as a yes," Damien smiled and I rolled my eyes.

“why was he been so cheerful this morning," I asked myself.

“ So from here, we have a day and a half to get to the other side," Damien said still with that weird smile on his face.

“ Okay that's it... come on out with it, why are you so happy this morning," I asked and he looked at grinning widely.

“ Wait can't I be happy anymore," Damien smiled and asked.

“ No, it's weird, when you have an army of men after to kill you," I let out but Damien only chuckled.

“ I don't care about that," Damien laughed.

“they could be a trillion armies of men after me, but it doesn't matter because I am with the one I love," Damien kissed my cheeks.

“Damien..." I scolded him but he only laughed as he limped along happily.

“ I am just happy to be alive, Ella, can't you feel it ," Damien screamed before I knew it he stripped naked diving into the water.

“Damien," I scolded him again but he was clearly not listening to me.

“ Ella come on in, the water is great," he screamed and I shook my head.

“Damien you shouldn't be doing this, they are people after us , we have to be careful, not carefree like this," I screamed towards him.

“ Ella does it matter, nothing is certain here on this island, we can be dead at any time, so it better we live life to the fullest," He replied and I breathed out highly.

“ Damien let's go, we don't have time for this," I screamed but he shook his head.

“ Just give me 5 minutes Ella, come on in the water is great," Damien let out softly.

Breathing out softly, I decided to give it a try.

Nervous, I slowly took off my clothes, as I got into the water and indeed the water was great.

“ You see the water is not bad," Damien smirked and I smiled.

” You were right but we shouldn't be here," I let out softly.

“ Relax I got you," Damien said as pulled me to himself.

“ We are you doing," I nervously asked .

“ Sorry I just couldn't help myself," Damien whispered as he looked at me with so much fire in his eyes.

His gaze was so intense, that I couldn't help but be locked endlessly in them.

A calming silence soon took over the atmosphere, as words were meaningless to us now because our bodies did the talking for us.

I couldn't resist the pull of having Damien this close to me, even though I knew I was supposed to, and you know, I tried resisting him, heavens knows I did.

But that intense look in his hazel eyes made it so hard for me to do that , it felt like a spell and right now I was spellbound.

“ We should go," I whispered as I could barely get my words out.

“Relax , yes we would," Damien whispered as he moved closer to me.

As he drew closer to me, it became so obvious that I couldn't resist him, the pull was so strong that it took all my willpower not to fall into his arms again but thankfully Damien saved me the stress because soon he slowly pulled me in by the neck smashing his lips down on mine.

And of course, I surrendered totally , given into the lust that his lips had to offer.

our lips moved in total harmony, blending perfectly with each other and at that moment I forgot that I was supposed to be bad at him.

lost in each other's lips, and totally oblivious to everything else around us , we basked entirely in each other's aura but that was when we heard a helicopter coming in our direction.

” Someone is coming... we need to go ," Damien said as he pulled me out of the water as we gathered our clothes running straight for the woods.

“ I told you , we shouldn't have done that, I told you we should be more careful,' I scolded him but Damien was still smiling.

“ it was worth it, you know," he said and I was confused.

“ What do you mean," I rolled my eyes asking.

“ I would have taken that risk over and over again, if It meant I get to kiss those lips of yours over and over again," Damien smirked.
