Chapter 4 The Rejection.

(Doris' POV) I laughed at the sight of him, looking at me in fear. "Please, Doris, don't do this to me. Tell them to back off," Liddell kept pleading as Mark and Erbort moved closer and cornered him. "H-how... when did you get this much power all of a sudden? You were always weak." Liddell squeezed his brows in confusion and stuttered in fear. I laughed again, looking at him cornered by Mark and Erbort in a humiliating position. His expression sent a pleasurable sensation within me. He felt so useless and unable to move. "I know you are weak, you don't even possess a little power or control over anyone. You're just an orphan. How come you have these two strong werewolf fighters in your control doing your wishes?" He parted his lips and looked up at the two tall figures who would finish him off with just an order from me, and his face turned pale. "It seems there are a lot of questions rambling in your head right now, Liddell..." I paused as I took a step closer. "Any more questions?" I smirked as I tilted my head to the side. "Who are you guys?" He fixed his gaze on them. "Or should I say, what are you guys? Alphas? Betas? Omegas? What or who exactly are you guys for you to be this strong, pinning an Alpha like me?" Mark and Erbort quickly glanced at each other and turned back to Liddell with a smirk on their faces, leaving him confused. "You are probably from the same pack as hers," he concluded, looking lost at their reaction. "What more do you want to know?" I took another step closer, nodding to Mark and Erbort, who released and allowed him to stand. "Who sent you, Doris?" "What?" "Who are you working for?" Liddell looked at me like he was sure of what he asked. "Who are they? What is the name of the pack that sent you? You are a spy, Doris. I'm sure you are not alone in this..." He pointed at Mark and Erbort and continued, "They are also under them, right? They came here to help you get me, am I right?" I looked at him in amusement and burst out laughing at his stupid allegations. Then, I turned to Mark and Erbort, who were also laughing, almost close to tears. "You know, I really thought you were wise," Mark stopped laughing and folded his arms on his chest. "You want to know who we are... huh?" Mark moved and stood facing Liddell. "We only reveal ourselves to those who are good enough. And clearly, from what I've seen, you are not good enough, 'Alpha' Liddell." He quoted using his fingers and grinned widely, mocking him. Liddell, in his defense, attempted to speak, but Mark was quick to land a few punches on his face, making him fall to the ground. Mark and Erbort dragged him up to his feet, tying him up immediately. "What do you intend to do next?" Erbort asked me, waiting for my orders. I moved closer to Liddell and stood in front of him; his face was bent facing the ground. I thought of what to do as I looked at the man who enslaved, insulted, and taunted me for a year. "This useless bastard actually had his ways with me for a year!" I mumbled, under my breath, my glare making him flinch back while he gritted his teeth, and growled, trying to boast like a little puppy. I played my fingers on my lips while glancing at him when the previous memories flooded into my mind. ***** "You ungrateful weakling! You should be thankful to me for seeing you and picking up your lifeless body," Liddell barked, following me into the kitchen as I walked out on him, refusing to do his humiliating orders. I was fed up with his unending taunts. "How dare you walk out on me while I'm still talking to you?" He hastened his steps towards me and pulled me back forcefully from my shoulder. "Look here, Doris! You are forever indebted to me, so you should learn how to always obey my orders. Do you know how worthless you were and still are? Have you forgotten I took you out of a dying state?" I gulped at his words, looking down to avoid his boiling gaze. I had to remain strong, to prove to him that I'm not a weakling. "Hey! Look here, I'm talking to you..." He paused, lifted my chin with his fingers, and continued. "You will respect me and every other member of this pack. They're stronger and better than you, and you know why? Because you are just a weak Omega no one knows." ***** I sneered, a wicked smirk displaying on my face wide when I turned toward Mark and Erbort. "Sofia. Bring her in here from the next room," Erbort nodded at my orders and went out to get Sofia. "Leave me alone, you bastard! Get your filthy hands off me, you i***t! Motherfucker!" Dressed in a hospital gown, Sofia snarled, hurling insults at Erbort as he dragged her through the doorway and into the ward. "Wait till Liddell comes here and... babe!" She screamed immediately as she turned her view to meet Liddell tied up. "Babe!" Tears began streaming down her eyes as she ran towards Liddell. "Are you okay? I'm sorry... What happened? Who are they, and what are they doing?" She ran toward him, cupped his face in her palms, and rubbed his cheeks. "Stop crying, babe. You shouldn't be sorry for anything. I'm fine; I did nothing wrong. I don't know why I'm tied up here, but you don't have to worry too much..." He paused, staring intently at Sofia, then continued. "You know I don't like seeing you cry; please wipe off your tears." I stood angrily at a spot, listening to their lovey-dovey conversation when my wolf growled in my head. "Cut it off, you two!" They turned in unison and looked in my direction with scorned looks. I returned their looks with a smirk on my face and placed a finger on my chin. "I've been thinking, Liddell... you definitely made a mistake bringing me back, don't you think so?" "I never said so, and I don't think so. Don't take what I said in your heart, Doris," Liddell spoke, seemingly soft. "Hmm!" "Doris, please do not hurt Sofia. Keep her out of whatever it is that you have in mind to do. I'm sure that I'm the one you have a problem with, so please let her be," Liddell pleaded, looking at Sofia, then back at me. "It's always the women for you, isn't it? You really can never look past the women around you..." I paused and laughed mockingly at him. "First it was me, and now Sofia. Who knows what you will likely turn her into in the nearest future, just like you did to your so-called wife." I moved towards him and pulled a poor-looking, tired, and stressed-out Sofia out of his embrace. She jolted and moved to my side. "Hey! Hey! Doris! Don't you dare hurt her!" Liddell yelled as Sofia was pulled out of his embrace into my side. "Now you shut up!" I turned around and kicked Liddell hard, making him fall to his knees. I bent my head to look at the indignant Alpha Liddell kneeling in front of me. Who would have thought something like this could happen? "You should hear this, Liddell." I cleared my throat to be sure I was loud enough to say my next words. I stared directly into his already trembling eyes before I said, "I, Doris Albert, Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack, refuse to have you, Alpha Liddell of the Red Moon Pack as my mate."
