Chapter Twenty-six: Not Of This World!

"Keep your ass all moving, you, you, you and you." The Knight shouted.
Melody, Butch, Liza and Kurtis were being chained up and were told to walk on foot, while the others were riding on horses. Kurtis friends were also on horses, but they were not happy seeing their friend chained up like a criminal and told to walk on foot, instead of horse.
"I'm sorry for putting you into trouble." Liza said sadly.
"It's okay, this is not the first time I'll be in this position." Kurtis answered with a smile.
"Thank you for helping me out." Liza said.
"Don't mention, I didn't do that for you to thank me, I just thought it was the right thing to do." Kurtis replied.
"I wouldn't have been alive if it wasn't for you. So let me thank you as much as I can." Liza answered back.
"Thank you so much Kurtis, I get to see my sister once again. We owe you a lot." Butch thanked him.
Melody also thanked him.
While they were all greeting him, Kurtis remembered all what had happened previously.
After he saved Liza from falling down using his purple lightning, many people start raising different types of suggestions calling him a pretender, wizard, evil person, devil's advocate.
The Master Mages tried to defend him but it was all useless. The people said that he is siding with the intruder that had came to spy on them. Melody tried her best to defend herself, saying she can perform magic but they asked why she wasn't in a mage uniform.
No one is expected to leave the village when the Mages and knights are on a beast hunt outside the village.
This occasion happens twelve times in a year, the master mages goes on a beast hunt with the other mages and knights. But after the occasion, every other beast hunt could continue.
This occasion usually occurs in a week.
If anyone who aren't meant to join the group hunt are sighted, such person will be punished severely.
According to the rules of the center village, such person will be whipped in front of every other people and every of his belongings, will be owned by the center village leaders.
People who have experience this type of punishment never gets balanced and they end up dead.
And if someone sides with the rule breaker, the person also gets to share the same punishment as them.
With nothing more to bail themselves out, they were all chained up and told to walk on foot. It was in the midnight and they were still walking.
"Can't they just stop for a while, I'm getting sore here!" Butch complained.
"We still have two days left to reach the village." Kurtis replied.
"Two days!" Butch exclaimed in anger. "You mean I will be walking on ground for two days. Are there no cabs?"
Melody gave Butch a scorning look to shut him up. No one knew that they were from another world, and if they knew, that would cause a lot more trouble than the one they are already in.
"So, you guys are brothers and sisters?" Kurtis asked.
"Yeah, I'm the eldest and they are twins." Melody quickly answered. She will be doing the answering. If her magic can't work, She can still use her intellect to sort things out.
"I'm just pitying you guys, your family will be so sad. I just hope you guys have somewhere safer to live after the judgement." Kurtis lamented.
"Why is that?" Melody asked as she was confused by what Kurtis had been saying since.
"I mean the punishment, the penalty for breaking the rules. I don't have any parent or place where I could call my home. I'm an adopted child trained to be a mage in Roswell school. So I don't know how my punishment is going to be.
But you guys have a family out there, how would they feel if they get to hear that you broke the rules.
They won't just be sad that you broke the rules but you also cause them to give all their properties to the leaders."
Melody and the others now understood what he meant. So it means if they have a house, it will be taken and owned by the leaders of the center village. But if they are to find out that Melody and the others aren't from that world, what will now happen.
Melody thought about it for a while, she didn't know where Vic is, she don't know where they are heading to. She viewed Kurtis, he is still trustworthy and kind. What if they tell him about who they are and where they had come from.
Can he help them, or perhaps he could at least tell them what punishment they will be facing for coming from another world. They are not the first person to have accidentally come into this world.
Melody has fully decided, she will tell Kurtis where they had come from, how they ended up here and what had happened to them.
"Kurtis, we are not what you think we are! we are not from this world!!" Melody whispered to avoid the knights and mages from hearing.
"Huhn! Are you joking or what?!" Kurtis asked.
"This is a real fact, we were accidentally sent to this world through a teleporter, and when we got here, we landed in the forest. We are more than this." Melody explained.
"More than this. You mean there are still more of you out there?" He asked.
"Yes, I think the teleporter doesn't have an actual direction, so it teleported us to different places in this world." Butch Answered.
"Just how many of you are In this world?" Kurtis asked.
"About Eighty students." Liza answered.
"You're eighty, and you three are here." Kurtis was surprised.
"Actually we were four, but our number four went up against a beast just for us to be safe." Butch explained.
"And where is he, did he defeated the beast?" Kurtis asked.
"We don't know, we just saw him going after the beast but he hasn't return since." Butch Answered.
"Didn't you go looking for him." Kurtis asked.
"We did searched for him but we couldn't see any traces of him anywhere." Melody said sadly.
Kurtis looked at Melody and imagined how close they are to each other.
"Is he also your brother?" Kurtis asked.
"No, he's her boyfriend!" Butch said giggling.
Melody gave him another scorning look.
"I guess I will take action more quicker than I've planned." Kurtis said and a little bit of purple lightning was showing in between his fingers.
