Chapter Twenty-Seven: Lycan Cave

It was early in the morning, Vic and Spiro were ready to set off for the east village.

They passed by many beasts on the way, and the ones they could fight they fought.

Vic noticed something. All the beasts he killed were only adding to his stat, all but the resistance stat. Not only that but he couldn't find any beast having an elemental ability. All he saw was those with speed, strength, durability ability.

He imagined how the Humanoid Dragon came to capture the beast he drained Mana from. Could it be that, what is left in that cave for him to discover are elemental beast? How powerful would Vic be, if he get to have a fire ability, water ability and other elemental abilities.

A huge grin appeared on his face as he thought of this.

' I'm going to be the most powerful creature ever to exist! ' Vic thought.

After killing a few beast they met on the way, Vic decided to check how much rewards he had gained.

' So I have overall Ten abilities?! ' Vic was surprised, how could someone have this amount of ability, humans have only one ability that they could use, and they can never change that. But he's not a human being. He's different, do his type also have this lot of abilities.

' I wonder how many abilities that Humanoid Dragon have. ' Vic said and kept on with what he was viewing.

Vic killed seven beasts using Spiro's spear, while Spiro who was using a sword killed only three. Although he didn't show it, but he was getting envious of Vic.

Vic on the other hand had decided not to use his new acquired ability, the lightning ability. He needs to learn how to fight with sword. There might be a chance where they would leave this world, back to the human world. And he had to fight with those blood vampires, he's got to be prepared.

He will do whatever it takes to learn this swordsmanship.

Unable to hold his anger, Spiro shouted out as he finish extracting the beast gem and Crystal.

"Man, why am I so useless!"

"Are you okay?" asked Vic.

"Can't you see? you're getting better by day while I am useless even with an high quality weapon." He retorted.

"Is that why you're angry?" Vic said no more, he didn't know exactly what to say. He's not much of a talker, and what advice could he have given him.

If he was the one in his position, he would react just as he did.

"What I will say is that, try to get stronger by all means. Even if it is not to eat for a year, just make sure you satisfy that your aim." Vic advised him.

' Well that's a go of a speech. It's really stressing to talk. ' Vic thought as he noticed that Spiro was silent.

"Come on buddy, we got a long way to walk, isn't it?" Vic asked.

"Yeah, sure. Let's get going!" Spiro finally spoke out.

After walking for a couple of hours, they got to a small cave. It was getting dark and the full moon was shining.

"This cave is just the same way I had left it." Spiro said. "I just discovered it when I was going to hunt in the forest a month ago."

"So you've been in the forest for a month now?" asked Vic who was surprised.

"Hmmn!" Spiro nodded. "It has already been part of me. You know, we've got to forge weapons for the knights and we need gems and crystals for that. We had no choice but to go hunt for gems ourselves, just to get the knights to buy our weapons."

"Aren't they knights, a fighter? Don't they kill beasts, why would they expect you to hunt the gems and crystals all by yourselves. What if you get hurt?" Vic wasn't happy at all.

"Like I said, we had no choice, we are not the only one forging weapons. There are those that steals from us, our forged weapons, Gems, crystals and a lot more." Spiro explained.

"Can't you report this to the knights or any official?"

"hmph!" Spiro chuckled, "Officials my foot. They are the real bandits!"

"What do you mean?"

"You can't understand..." Spiro paused, he noticed that Vic was standing up beside him.

Vic started walking towards the exit of the cave. Spiro was wondering what he had saw.

"Vic, what is it?" Spiro asked, he also stood up following Vic behind.

"Don't make a sound!" Vic instructed. "There is something outside there!!"

Spiro was getting nervous.

' Could it be a ghost, or some higher tier beast? ' Spiro thought.

Vic got outside the cave and stopped,

' I've seen this wolf before. Last night! It was the wolf that howled last night. But they are so many wolves. And this one looks like an human being. s**t, they are bowing down to him. Is it really a human being? ' Vic thought. He had activated his Vampdragon Eyes when he was in the cave, he did that so he could sight any aura in coming towards them in the dark cave they were in.

Although they lit the light source gem, but Vic still took extra precautions. And that helped him to quickly sight the wolves that were outside.

Immediately, he heard some wolves howling, but this time rather than one, they were twenty six wolves.

While this was still happening, Vic sighted a lot of auras coming from inside of the cave. When he looked back, he saw multiples of wolves that stood upright like a real human being.

"It is a.. they are Lycans!!" Spiro shouted.

"What did you see?"
