"Push your stomach inside girl," Helen said and Reva did laughing for her embarrassing pot belly. Helen then tied the knots on her wedding gown and zipped it finally. Reva giggled and looked at her beautiful self on the large mirror in front of her. The dress is perfect on Reva and felt proud for picking the correct one on her own "This is great on you, girl," Helen exclaimed staring her and hugged Reva from behind. "I am so happy for you," she added and Reva turned with a smile. "Thanks," she hugged her friend at this emotional moment. "And you look great in this bridesmaid dress," she added. Reva then sat down to do her makeup and Helen was excited since she's going to do that. Reva preferred a light makeup and she curled her long hair since she thought it will look better on her. Helen has done a great job and they both looked at each other in surprise. "Seriously girl, you are hiding all these days. Look at how beautiful you are," but Reva had an unamused face. "Why don't you wear some jewels," Helen suggested. "No, I think this is enough," Reva said and looked at the chain on her neck. It's a gift from her grandpa for her tenth birthday. It's a lucky charm and she wears it on all the important occasions of her life as a sentiment. Even she passed her exams wearing that. Today she's wearing it for two reasons, one it matches with her wedding gown and the other reason is she wishes from this day onwards her life has to be good and peaceful like how it used to be. She never felt sad about her life because she's grateful for what she has and all she wishes now is, it has to last long for the rest of her life. It's a simple wish but it's not easier to attain in a complicated life. That time Helen's mom and Victor's Aunt both came inside after knocking on the door. "Aww, Reva dear you look so beautiful," Helen's mom complimented. "Thanks, Aunty," Reva answered. "Your mom must be really happy to see you," Victor's Aunt told and Reva's face became dull to hear that. It's not because her parents are no more, Reva doesn't know anything about them, even their voices. She has heard about them from her grandfather, their relatives, and friends. But she has no memory of them. That's what made her sad if she had some memories she wouldn't feel so empty and terrible now. Helen's mom had tears thinking about her old friend. She sniffed her nose, and said "Yes, she will be so happy to see you if she's here," "Mom, please," Helen caressed her mom's shoulders and calmed her. They headed to the church and Reva's become nervous. Reva thought about whether she took the right decision. This marriage happened all of a sudden but she couldn't think of anything that might come as a problem in the future. Sometimes we have that positive feeling on new things that's going to happen in our life like going to the new city, working in a new job and anything. So Reva had that good feeling about marrying Victor plus he seemed to be a gentleman. Everything is going to be alright! She said to herself before getting down from the car. She saw her grandfather standing along with Victor's cousins at the Narthex. He's dressed in a tuxedo and looked better than ever. After a long time, his face carried a happiest smile even though he is not fully cured. She agreed for this marriage only for him and she is happy to see his happiness. Carrying a pleasant smile on her face Reva looked at her grandpa. His eyes welled in tears of happiness. "You look like your mother," he said and spilled the tears out. Reva only knew how much she is holding back her tears but now she couldn't take it anymore and cried seeing her grandpa. And then controlling her emotions as per everyone said, Reva smiled hugging her grandpa. "You looking so handsome today," she told. His grandfather laughed hearing that and they exchanged tearful smiles. Looking at them everyone was pleased to see their love for each other. "Shall we go inside?" he asked and Reva nodded her head. While walking to the door, Helen came closer and leaned near her ears, "Have you prepared your wedding vows?" she whispered. Reva's eyes widened in shock. Vows? Why the hell no one reminded me about that, she thought. "No, I prepared nothing," Reva gave the same face which she used to give when she didn't finish the assignments in the school. "All the best, I hope God will save you, Amen," Helen chuckled and Reva glared at her for reminding something at the last moment. But she decided to tell what she has at that moment and proceeded to walk. "Don't worry and stay strong," her grandfather told and Reva nodded her head. Everyone went ahead of them and leaving out a sigh, Reva walked inside the aisle. It's not much crowed, most of the seats were empty but the people who were sitting there are close relatives and friends of Victor. Their faces carried a cheerful smile. It's enough to have a few people who truly wish happiness instead of the whole bunch of people who not even care about them after the wedding. Reva had a smile and slowly turned her gaze to Victor who's standing before the sanctuary. His eyes were fixed on Reva and his lips curled in the corner to see her. He's wearing a black tuxedo and looked freaking handsome. All the men here are wearing the same tux as her grandfather. Maybe Victor must have chosen this attire, Reva thought and she's pretty nervous as she gets closer to Victor. Never in her dreams, Reva thought that she will be getting married so simply, it's not how she imagined but she likes this way and she was anxious to get married to this man who's waiting to take her hand. Out of all the men in this world and all the men who came in her life he's the one she is going to marry. What a strange miracle is this! Reva smiled. * * * "I, Victor Jones takes Reva Charles to be my wife. I promise to give you the best of myself. I promise to trust and respect your interests, desires, and needs are no less important than my own. I promise to share with you my time and attention to bring joy, strength, and love to our relationship," he completed and looked in her eyes. The way he sounded was strong, determined and affectionate as well. His eyes reflected how much he meant all those words. Reva smiled, it’s very sweet to hear that from him. She took a breath then said her vows, "I, Reva Charles takes Victor Jones to be my husband, I promise to support and hold him in all the better and worse times of our life. I respect his decisions and always stand by his side when he needs me. I will be your best friend until the rest of my life,” as she finished her vows, Victor gave a beautiful smile which shaken Reva. This was the first she’s feeling this way and it’s electrifying too. His amusing smile made her heart to throb strangely. All she wish now is, she wants him to keep his vow like how she's going to keep up. “I now pronounce you both as husband and wife, please exchange your rings,” said the Priest handing the ring box. Reva puts the shining platinum ring on his finger and gave her hand to Victor. He shoved the diamond ring slowly on her fingers. It’s alluring to feel the ring, it’s not just the chillness it carries; it made her anxious about her new life that’s waiting after this. “Now you can kiss your bride,” the priest said to Victor. Reva’s eyes extended in surprise. Victor came closer and leaned closer near to her lips. He could feel that she’s nervous and had a smirk. Reva closed her eyes in reflux and waited to feel his lips but for her relief, it ended as a small peck. She sighed under her breath since she doesn’t know how to kiss and it will be embarrassing at the end. Then everything becomes different after that moment. It felt her entire world sparked prettily. Helen hugged her and congratulated Reva. Charles got emotional to see his granddaughter’s wedding and Victor’s dad was on cloud nine for his son, finally, he married someone who will love and cherish him for all his goodness. Victor held Reva’s hand and walked out of the church, it is dreamlike for Reva. She only felt happiness nothing else. Her family members followed them and Reva gave her bouquet to Helen and asked her to get married soon. The wedding was hosted in the backyard of Victor’s house. It’s spacious for a limited number of guests. They served a variety of foods and delicious desserts. Victor was busy talking to his friends and he introduced them to Reva. He’s so sweet and Reva can’t help but starts to feel something special for Victor. For Reva, Helen read a congratulatory note stating her love and their decade friendship which almost bought tears in Reva’s eyes. She never thought Helen could turn her emotions. For Victor, his cousin Ron read a long note stating how strong and talented he is. He also told about Victor’s crazy adventures and good character. Reva was glad to know that.  Everything was photographed and videographed. They both took pictures near the lake. During that time Victor again kissed her, this time it’s little passionate. The sun went down when all the commotion of the wedding came back to normal. All the guests left except the family members. Reva came out of the bathroom after refreshing herself. She didn’t change her wedding gown for the wedding night because the groom has to remove it. She is surprised when she saw Victor standing beside the window and watching the sunset. Reva went close to him and he held her hand with a smile on his face. “Shall we leave?” he asked. “Where?” she questioned. “To our home,” he answered and she nodded her head. Taking Reva’s bag and phone they came to the living area where the family members are ready to send them off for the surprising honeymoon trip to Bora Bora. Reva doesn’t know about this and Victor came to know in the afternoon when his dad spilled the words. Others will be staying in the house for the night except for the newlywed going to spend their wedding night in Victor’s lavish mansion in the city and tomorrow they will be going to their honeymoon. “I will see you tomorrow, grandpa,” Reva said. Her grandpa is going to stay with Mr. Jones’s mansion which is located near Victor’s home. “Yes,” he nodded. She got inside the car after all the hugs and goodbyes. Helen winked at her to enjoy the wedding night but Reva was actually frightened to face it. She doesn’t want to do it now, and she’s still a virgin. “Are you okay?” Victor asked noticing her dull face. “Yes I am fine,” Reva smiled. “Don’t worry we will meet them tomorrow before going to honeymoon,” he said and Reva was quite surprised to hear that. “What? We are going to honeymoon?” she exclaimed. “That’s what I said,” he chuckled. “But no one said to me,” she reasoned. “It’s a surprise gift from my dad, I know it only in the afternoon,” he replied. “Oh,” Reva calmed. “Why? Do you have any plans tomorrow?” he asked. “No, what plans I am going to have. After all, it’s my vacation. All I worry about is my grandpa, I want to take care of him,” Reva replied. “You don’t have to worry about him, we have a lot of servants who will take proper care of him,” Victor smiled. “And if there’s an emergency we can return back. After all this idea was planned by my dad and your grandfather.” “What about you? Don’t you have any other plans?” asked Reva. “Yes I have but I want to spend my time with you, you know we can’t get this time back,” Victor made her blush. He is too honest sometimes that's turning her crazy. Reva smiled biting her lower lip. Why he has to be so sweet! She thought and tuned to the other side and closed her eyes in cringe. After that Reva didn’t converse with him and pretend to sleep so that she can smile mentally as much she wants and also an escape from his charms as well.
